As some of you know, I love beer. I am not talking about the crappy stuff, but a good tasty craft beer. I figure I would start this thread and see what everyone else likes and is currently drinking. I am always trying all different kinds of beer (Stouts, porter, IPA and what not)
Right now, I am drinking Coopers Best Extra Stout
This has a slight bite, but it doesn't have a bitter after taste. It has a decent creamy head and a hint of coco.
When you make a thread or post a reply there is a section called Upload an Image (inbetween where it says add smiles and where you type the message. You want to click browse and go to where the image is(the image has to be saved on your computer) and then it will ask if you want full size or a thubnail and click full size and you will have the image uploaded on the site. You can also use photobucket if you have an account.
Getting back on topic, I am strongly considering staying an extra day in Nashville. I may have to venture out and find that micro house.
The only Problem is Yazoo is only open, Thurs-Sat 4-8, you can get it in bottles and locally at bars, but the real experience is the freshly squeezed stuff at the taproom. I will be bringing some of the good to Bonnaroo though if I can figure out a way to do it. If I pull it off you are welcome to tip a few back with me.
Recently I've been enjoying the Sierra Nevada Bigfoots. It's seasonal so grab it if you see it.
It has a 9.6% alcohol content so it's very efficient.
I had this on tap a couple weeks back and I didn't like it at all. This is coming from a person that will drink just about anything. It was a bit too bitter for me, but I seemed to be the only person in the bar that didn't like it because I saw 5 others order it without complaining. Damn taste buds LOL

Sounds like a plan.
For those of you looking to bring beer to roo and trying to et around the glass policy then try Dales Pale Ale
I have seen this a few times in my passing and thought I would give it a try. I am not normally a fan of canned beer, but if I can bring this to Bonnaroo I wouldn't think twice about it. They make differnt types of beer as well:
I don't really like any Sierra Nevada, it all tastes bitter to me. But I will drink it if that's all there is. ;D
see, I don't really like any beer that much... so if i can get the job done in half the time, it's a bonus. That's where the efficiency factor comes in
I heard about this one as well, but haven't had a chance to try it. My bar that I go to on a regular basis carry many of the Troges brews , so maybe they will get this on tap so I can give it a taste :-)
Some please give me tips on how to learn to drink and enjoy beer. I try and try and try, and every time, I can't drink it. I need help. I WANT to learn how to drink beer, I just have no idea It's depressing when I go to a bar, order a really nice beer, and can't drink it!!

If you get past the first one, the second one is better
I don't know if there's really a trick to enjoying beer. Some people just don't have a taste for it. I aquired my taste for beer at a very young age. My dad brought me up to appreciate a good brew by letting me drink a few sips of his, even as a kid.
Are there any beers that you've tried that you do like?

I've tried that though...I've shotgunned beer, and even been drunk off beer before. I just CANNOT sit there and drink it. I gag and wind up unable to finish it....I need pointers

my girlfriend used to hate beer, but I all she ever tried was crappy beer (Bud/Miller) so I wasnt surprised. I started her off on hard ciders like Magners and Strong Bow. NOT Mikes. Then moved to beers that are less bitter. Look for Lagers and Pale Ales dont waste time with most light beers. After that she is able to try anything now and enjoy it I think her current love is Dos XX.
Personally I like Guinness and lately anything from New Belgium Brewery.
Also, if SweetWater was available up by me I would drink it every day.....probably a good thing I can only get it once a year
Troegenator, by Troegs brewery. Probably the best beer I've ever had. Oh, and it's 8.2% alcohol... so it'll getchya drunk!
Quoted for its truthiness. Troegs is awesome. Harrisburg reprazent!! If you can find Nugget Nectar, that stuff is good. The Mad Elf is only around at Christmastime, but it's even stronger than the Troegenator.
