Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Ummm, pardon me if this has been brought up before (I didn't read every post in the whole 9 pages...just kinda skimmed it...) but a couple of the things I am thinking of proposing for InfoVooDoo BEFORE we start having problems with mad smiters (LOL!) is to remove the smite option - Hex in our board - completely and only allow exalting - thus postitive Karma (HooDoo for us) only. Or (an I admit this is REALLY sneaky but I think anonymous smiting is sneakier!) changing the smite option so that it works exactly like exalt...wonder how long it would take people to realize it??? HEE! I know that is mean....but smiting for no good reason (and there are very few good reasons in my book ) and then not admitting it is even worse to me.....

This whole discussion is completely hilarious! You people are discussing imaginary karma handed out by kids who like sh!t for music. But look on the bright side, I'm laughing my arse off...maybe that's worth a little karma to ya?!

I exalt and smite but I'm not a kid that likes sh!t for music.
Do you just click around and look for ways to piss people off?
I wonder about anyone emotionally invested to a thread on the internet. lmao
I don't necessarily think we are emotionnaly invested to a thread on the internet so much as we are emotionally invested in caring what our friend's opinions are - because - for a good majority of us here - we have become friends.

So if you're all friends, why care so much about imaginary karma?
For me, karma represents helping someone find something on the boards or elsewhere, answering questions, being thoughtful, being funny, and providing a good atmosphere for the boards. For someone to come in and target me just to be a d!ck is not enjoyable and yes, it does bother me, imaginary or not.

lol Ok, then I get it now! You're BFF's are the ones who give the most karma! OMG, how did I miss that!!!! Kiddo, if you're looking for friends rooted in imaginary validation then perhaps you've come to the right place. But don't let your personality get lost in that machine. I'm sure you're e-friends are great. And with all that karma, I bet you have a lot of friends.

still, painfully lol
wouldn't the number on the screen, that I can see, NOT be imaginary? It's still a number that goes up and down. I know it has nothing to do with karma, but it does have to do with others agreeing or disagreeing with your opinions (or idiots just doing it to be pricks).

well - the number I have has nothing to do with Karma I created but more of a joke between me and an admin who set my karma at 420 - but - ya see - friends do give friends karma and I consider everyone on this board a friend until they show their ass, by being a generally disagreeable person who always has something better then anyone else to say and could care less about anyone's opinion.
karma is not just a virtual thing - it happens in real life also - kinda the whole "what goes around comes around" thing - some people just don't get it and no amount of disussion from me will explain it - peace out

So, your opinon changes with the staus of that number? Or the number is connected to your feelings?
No, it's not connected to my opinion at all.
It is a little connected to my feelings, yes. It is more connected to knowing that I hopefully made someone's day better and they chose to thank me by hitting the exalt button.

Well I hope everyone hits the exalt button and makes you HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. I know I couldn't achieve happiness without the exaltation of imaginary friends, too.

WOW
Um...where did I say it makes me happy? How nice of you to assume that I only get my happiness from my karma number.
Did you know that a lot of the people on these boards have met each other, thereby making your "imaginary friends" comment false?
