Nope, I don't think it has a damn thing to do with that actually... Not sure where you got that impression from though, seeing as how I never once even referred to party favors. There's good music at other places besides Bonnaroo, too

And I think Boots was just defending the right to log on to Inforoo and stating your negative opinions and criticisms of the festival. That's what it's here for - a Bonnaroo message board. A lot of times people can learn from those negative comments. I mean, I received a substantial amount of criticisms once for saying that Bonnaroo isn't the only festival that rages late nights. And people told me I was wrong! Imagine that... How boring would this world be 361 days of the year if Bonnaroo was the only festival I could go to to rage my face off until the sunrise!
People that have only been to Bonnaroo and praise it as the greatest, or even worse - people who haven't been to any festivals yet but still think Bonnaroo is the greatest ever - need to know there are other places out there. Without hearing about the negative sides to Bonnaroo and in turn hearing stories of excellent times elsewhere how are people going to see past the farm in Tennessee? I know I never would've been to any other festivals if it weren't for this. Criticizing Bonnaroo is not a bad thing!
I don't care what he criticizes and most of what I say around her is at least partly in gest. Personal attacks are senseless and uncalled for and are no way to express your opinions or your intentions in any forum.

^^I cannot remember that time... It must have been a really long time ago, because as far as I can remember people were always complaining about being smited over here. It is a shame though when it reaches the point to where the mods have to alter somebody's karma level just to diffuse a conflict on the boards. I mean, maybe it's just me but who the feck cares. The fact that one person's karma level on this board actually affects the general mood of boards just goes beyond my level of comprehension. I mean, if you're smited when you have 450,000 karma is it really more comforting than when you are smited when you have 100 karma? As Boots referenced, if you need a quantitative number to justify your social status on a message board then that's just silly.
....and I'm still at a complete loss over the comment as to whether you define a good time as to regarding party favors or the music. I mean come on! Let me have my opinion towards music festivals in without trying to pin me down as one of those who only go to music festivals for the party favors, please! I really hoped that everyone who knew me for a while on these boards could see that I'm interested in more than just the party favors at a music festival... I guess once you insult Bonnaroo at all you're immediately just thrown into that stereotype though. Good to know

Strum - I am sorry that you are taking what was an off the wall comment from me so personally. It was not meant that way at all.
and about my karma:
You need to know that I was not the one that noticed the crap or said anything to the mods about it initially - I did not even know until someone messaged me on FB about it. Further - I did not ask for it to be modified - I really don't give a shit other then the pure amusement value that someone would be so dedicated to smiting me 30 times in a 24 hour period - that makes me laugh.
Now - if you have any other issues with me - please go ahead and get them out - I always thought you and I were friends and buddies - if that's not the case - then you need to let me know that

Well I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your post... but it's kind of hard not to when you directly quote me in a reference to Roo not being the greatest festival ever and then you say that it all boils down to whether you prefer music or the druqs. If that's not throwing me in the boat of the custie 30 foot RV party goers category than I don't know what is, but again if I just misinterpreted things then I'm truly sorry. I still think it's completely bogus to say that whether you think Bonnaroo is the greatest festival or not comes down to whether you look at a great experience in regards to the music or party scene, though. It just reflects poorly on every other festival that's not Bonnaroo, and that's not fair at all.
And I know that you weren't the one that complained about your karma or even noticed it. But it's the fact that your karma was dropping caused other members of the board to get angry over it and it in turn started some form of unnecessary drama. It's kind of funny in a way, but at the same time it's pathetic. I mean, no offense but I could care less whether you were exalted 20 times a day or smited 20 times a day. You're still Meg, and nothing's gonna change that. Especially not some silly number that anybody with an internet connection can change as many times as they want.
I guess it all just boils down to that my gripe isn't with you as it is just with your karma. People just care about it way too much for some reason. It's laughable. I mean, I could smite you right now and I guarantee that somebody will notice that you were smited and hold some sort of vendetta about it, which in turn will cause some sort of drama. I've been smited and gone away from my 420 mark quite a bit before and nobody is ranting about how it's not fair that I'm being smited. It's more of just a frustration with the boards in general that life on here comes down to your karma level and the karma level of your friends.

If it comes down to karma being the ONLY thing we can get attention to then fine. But let's be honest here...You have said things publicly when you have been smited...and people have given you karma....Becca has mentioned when she has lost several karma points before...MUCH less than 30 in a day...and people have rushed to replenish her supply....nothing wrong with it then...and nothing wrong with it now. But suddenly apparently you think there IS something wrong with it? That's fine and you are welcome to your opinion.....but if it is so unimportant and so "imaginary" why does everyone vote to continue hanging on to it? Let's just ditch the whole darn thing if it all means nothing! I mean....which is it? I don't care....I'm happy with letting it be COMPLETELY transparent....I'll happily post to whom and how much karma/smites I give and let it be a completely open transaction...I am ALL for that...or do away with the whole damn thing completely....I'd rather it be that way than this wussy hide behind it crap anyways.... All it is - a way for people to stab you in the back or give a popularity point....neither of which I am a big fan of
