Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I love and have seen Bowie and Radiohead... and My Bloody Valentine would be very cool too...
But am I the only one that thinks these three nights scream Europe more than the States (okay, L.A. especially)? Especially since Radiohead just headlined there 3 years ago; early for a repeat I would think.
Good to see The Verve and Aphex Twin getting around again. Surprised to see The Postal Service on there, that's VERY cool. Lots of others I like too-- but not in the same, "holy shit!" fashion.
Note the complete lack of Brushfire Records, ATO and Pearl Jam & friends.
Maybe I'm just still tired from The Police show in Charlotte this week.
I kind of hope this is not real, because it makes it a slimmer chance for these bands to be at roo... or not. Someone prove me wrong, so I can stop worrying about this.
Edit: I just went to The Comatorium, the Mars Volta forum site, and questioned this, and it seems to be fake... I could be wrong, though.
Dude...some guy on myspace made that himself a couple weeks ago. He even said when he made it that it was his "dream Coachella." Typical bullshit Coachella rumors...

Oh really? My source is still telling me that this is coming straight from the head of Goldenvoice. I will check back with him for some definitive proof.

Your source is full of nuts. I literally saw this on someone's myspace the other day after a written explanation about how this is a lineup they came up with for fun. A lot of those acts aren't even active right now.

The real tip off was Godspeed! You Black Emperor. I would love to see them live, but they are on a 'hiatus'.
^^^Yeah. The same applies to Broken Social Scene. They're releasing a series of solo albums and doing individual tours for the next year or so from what I can gather.
And The Knife rarely plays live and are on hiatus because the sister had a kid.

My source is sticking to his claim. He got really pissed at me when I questioned the validity of the list. I mentioned the bands that were on hiatus and whatnot and he said "One of the traditions at Coachella is to bring back bands that haven't played together in ages."

Ok, that is good enough for me. I am truly sorry for posting a fake line-up. I apologize to everyone, I shouldn't have taken my sources word as the truth. I would appreciate it if a moderator deleted this thread.

Nah, man. This stuff pops up all the time. No worries.
I'm just adamant about this shit because people sometimes save up and spend money on fests based on outrageously amazing too good to be true rumors.
Last year, the big ACL rumor had Neil Young, Stevie Wonder and an Eddie Vedder acoustic set on top of the Bjork, Dylan and White Stripes headliners.
I do think Coachella has a chance to be pretty amazing this year. My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, The Chemical Brothers...they're all pretty legit possibilities.
Anyways, I keep tabs on all the rumors and "leaks" that surface in all the usual haunts since I have no life and keep a list of things on my blog. But in short:
Bands reported as "confirmed" by at least somewhat cromulent sources: The Verve Death Cab for Cutie Austin TV Portishead My Bloody Valentine VHS or Beta Rabbit in the Moon
Significantly probable: A Tribe Called Quest (A&M Entertainment states they are accepting offers for next year's world tour, and unspecified festival headliners are available for 150-800k and you know ATCQ is one of them) Animal Collective (Pitchfork quotes that they will "perhaps [play] at least one show in April in the USA.") The Magnetic Fields (touring again for the first time in a hundred years) Battles (touring next spring, playing Langerado, major buzz band of 2007, etc) Weezer (new terrible album to be released April 22) Swervedriver Billboard (doing reunion tour in the spring, Coachella specifically mentioned as possible) Mogwai (touring US in the spring with stated festival preference, and Coachella is the only major US festival in the spring, besides Langerado, but that lineup has already been announced) The Chemical Brothers (messageboard post from management type mentioned it as a possibility)
More rumors: R.E.M. Screaming Trees The White Stripes Pulp Blur Sasha & Digweed Feist Joanna Newsom Deltron 3030 No Doubt Green Day

So how'd you make the poster part of this? I know a little about graphic design and stuff, I was just curious how you did it, I think I'd like to make one for Bonnaroo or ACL, just to keep for myself, I don't think I'd post it to trick everyone and fuck with their emotions though....
