You know what, I could see No Doubt reuniting for something like this. They were at one time a pretty massive band of sorts, and would be welcomed with open arms, by many people. I actually saw them around Tragic Kingdom (NOT embarrassed, f*ck off, it was 1995-96!), and it was a pretty cool show. Yeah, Gwen is a "pop diva" now, but hell, I doubt she has completely forgotten where she came from (see "Saw Red").....
Yeah, I'm disappointed that K-Fed and Hannah Montana aren't playing, but I guess that's next year, when My Chemical Romance, John Mayer, and Metallica headline.
Headlined all 3 nights by Hannah Montana and Billy Ray! Late night battle rap every night with K-Fed and John Cena and all day, every day superjam with John Mayer, Jason Mraz, James Blunt, and Maroon 5. And a special opening slot for Hannah Montana, with none other than No Doubt.

The funniest thing about your post is 3 of these 4 have already played at Bonnaroo (OK, Maroon 5 never actually took the stage at Roo, but they were on the lineup).
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

That could be what they are doing. To catch a preditor style Hannah Montana Headlines Friday Then Chris Hanson will Headline Saturday and Sunday Why dont you go ahead and..take a seat
And then the dude from Dateline NBC comes out....Heee! Tooo funny! In a really sick twisted sort of way....
Seriously tho'....my goddaughter is at that age (9ish) where Hannah Montana is all the rage (and her name is Hannah....sigh)...my bf is trying to find tix for a concert....they are going for upwards of $300! For a single ticket! For a 13 yo who can't sing! wtf???? Sad....sad....sad.....
Yeah....I can totally believe that based on what my best friend is seeing on ebay and some of the other sites she has checked out for tix.... She may have to sell some of her Microsoft stock to get those tix - LOL! I told her she can take Hannah to this one...I'll take her to her first REAL rock concert
Jesus, my neice is really into Hannah Montana and it's driving my sister (her mother) absolutely insane. I understand, as someone who's had to watch a couple of episodes in marathon fashion...
AMEN! I have been force fed Montanathons too If I hear "oh no you DIDN'T go there...." one more time...I'll probably throw up...again.....
Did we really watch such crap as kids?? I don't remember anything this mind-numbing, but maybe I have just blocked it all out....then again....we didn't have cable until I was like 10!
Anybody kind of surprised at how much Bonnaroo lineup buzz has eclipsed Coachella lineup buzz? Usually the two festivals are neck in neck in the publicity department, but I guess that's what happens when the biggest buzz band for your festival is My Bloody Valentine and the others is Zeppelin...

now that youve mentioned it, yeah, but I personally try to not pay tooo too much attention to Coachella cuz I know there is not a shot in hell I'm going and I get all jealous hahah.. but you are correct, what is the buzz with coachella anyhew?
Breeders, Sons & Daughters, Deltron 3030, Chromeo, Death Cab for Cutie and VHS or Beta are among the "confirmed" acts. Animal Collective, Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Simian Mobile Disco, Boredoms, Hot Chip and The Verve are heavily rumored. Radiohead and MBV have been rumored by also denied by different sources.
If Portishead, Radiohead and MBV were to be at Coachella, I would have to buy a ticket. Bonnaroo and Zeppelin will have to be hearsay. The combination of those three bands would be personal nirvana for me.
