Hmmm, whoever made it has done their homework. It's got all the rumored Coachella artists: The Breeders, Chromeo, Cold War Kids, Dwight Yoakam, DREDG, etc. In my opinion, the big tipoff is Deltron 3030 being WAY too far down the list.
Another day another Brooklyn Vegan report on Coachella. This time around they are giving a few more confirmed artist ( via LA Times). Im sure its all over by now. You can find it there.
Been lurking the Coachella boards again and they are talking about Pink Floyd playing there (I doubt it), but apparently rumor is that Roger Waters and Prince playing there. Take it with a grain of salt though.
I think I'm out of the loop. Is Portishead that big that they will command a headlining spot? I know they're popular, I guess I just never thought that they commanded THAT much of a following...

Well the format at Coachella is different. So you could very well have a group like Weezer playing the second stage at the same time. My guess is that they'll play opposite an act that's just sub headliner level.
"Coachella Festival Doubt- We are getting whispers that Roger Waters may not be appearing at the Coachella Festival as expected. If we get any more info about this, or any other possible dates, you can be certain that we will let you know."
So perhaps those Waters rumors are not accurate. However, this leads me to wonder if he might not be playing Roo instead...

Outside of Waters and Portishead, nothing earth shattering. I'll be interested if anything else is going to come out and who the headliners are if those are the big acts.
^Yeah, it seems like an odd choice for Coachella. With all the talk about AC/Superfly catering to the Coachella crowd, perhaps Goldenvoice is now catering a bit to the Roo-ers.
Some LA Times reporter apparently said (off the record) Goldenvoice pushed hard for Prince but failed to get him.
