Seventh Dream of A Teen-age Heaven was one of the first TAPES I ever bought with my own money... I wore that thing out and just replaced it... thanks to Demonoid (RIP)
I just bought Express for the third time. Wore out one tape and one CD so far.

I always check it for news this time of year. It seems like everytime somebody asks a question, a dozen others pounce on him like wolves to the feed or something. They definitly are an earnest bunch.
yea the coachella forums are trash, only time i go there is for the lineup and rumors on headliners and maybe for a ride lol- I cant wait to get back out to the desert for this one hehe i like the lineup more than last years :-P

Back up your media! Burn a copy right now, put the original away and play the copy.
i can definitely see why the coachella boards are upset... i mean, they were expecting Radiohead but got Jack Johnson. i didnt even know he was big enough to headline a festival. i hope i dont get smitted for saying this but if Jack Johnson is a bonnaroo headliner, i will be pretty upset.... roger waters on the other hand would be fantastic!

i actually agree with you, jack johnson as a headliner is kinda a disappointment..especially for coachella people. but they are still kinda douchey over there

I do that now! That's where I found my other one was shot, I was trying to rip it and it was WAY too scratched... It and Mania by the Ramones were the only two that were too shot for me to move to the hard drive. Now I play everything from the computer and use a Roku Soundbridge to play it through the stereo.
Edited cuz I can't spell

Yeah, I play everything off the hard drive, but then I run out of room and have to delete ripped CDs to make room for downloads. I've got a 250 gig, 160 gig, 2 60 gigs, and several smaller drives all full. I'm about to order a 750 gig, so I can back up all those and maybe have room to last another 6 months of downloading, but I doubt it lasts that long.

i like the fact that they dont have the huge names... rage was grand and all but...eh nvm i wont start lol. and rhcp eh...and bjork was cool- but when they wrap all that cash into the headliners the supporting acts arent as good, the promoter of the festy even said they were making the festival not so big name oriented but instead trying to make people hear new stuff- maybe the crowd will change a lil this year :-P
The supporting acts last year were bigger than a lot of the headlining acts this year. Last year's supporting acts by day: Friday(Bjork): Interpol, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Arctic Monkeys, Jarvis Cocker, DJ Shadow, Faithless Saturday (RHCP): The Arcade Fire, Tiesto, Travis, The Good the Bad and the Queen, The Decemberists, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem, Gotan Project, Kings of Leon Sunday (RATM): Manu Chao, Happy Mondays, Air, Willie Nelson, The Roots, Crowded House, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul van Dyk, Damien Rice
I mean, last year's lineup was stacked, top to bottom.
I think they probably have a few more midlevel acts, but mostly, I think they spread themselves too thin with the East Coast fest...
I totally agree. The lineup is weak in the middle. Last year's was so much better. And 2006 kicked ass too.
Saturday 2006
Animal Collective, Cat Power, Common, Daft Punk, Damian Marley, Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand, Kanye West, MMJ, She Wants REvenge, TV on the Radio,
Sunday 2006 Bloc Party, Coheed and Cambria, Gnarls Barkley, James Blunt, Madonna, Matisyahu, Minus the Bear, Paul Oakenfold, Scissor Sisters, Tool, Wolf Parade, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs
yea i think they have something up their sleeve for friday, there are like 5 less bands on friday than the other days and jack johnson isnt a headliner, at least for coachella...not saying anything negative about him tho. His brother said they couldnt get ALL the headliners they wanted (also said roger waters was the hardest to get to come) so i think they couldnt get the headliner they wanted on friday so had him as backup maybe...somethin will be added me thinks

i guess im more of a rooer cause this fests lineup just doesnt do it for me but im glad waters is doing a fest. jack as a headliner?? hes amazing but i'd say a bad choice for this fest

Some acts I'd like to see carry over to 'Roo (or Vineland ): Roger Waters - a more natural fit with 'Roo, certainly Jack Johnson - assuming the 'every other year' rule's in place, he's a given for 'Roo Fatboy Slim Madness John Butter Trio - unlikely, due to the EOY rule (see above)... There's always Vineland, however Portishead - nice! Kraftwerk - Now is the time on "Sprockets" vhen ve dance!... uhm... nein... Sasha and Digweed - another EOY victim... Devotchka - if Gogol Bordello can't play (EOY), this is a good substitute Floggin' Molly Bonde Do Role - Brazilian beats and M.I.A.-like raps, all done with a circa 1980 Casio keyboard... but I like! Justice - more dance. I dig 'em, but I don't know how they'd go over at 'Roo. Gogol Bordello - EOY blah blah... The Streets - I'd love to catch them, even if I don't think 'Roo's a good fit
Friday would be f*cking perfect if Portishead were headlining instead of Jack Johnson and My Morning Jacket was playing. I dunno, if I had to pick a day, I'd have to go with Friday.

Like many of you already said, I'm not all that impressed. There are of course some I'd like to see at Bonnaroo, and some I'm downright jealous of, but it's by no means up to par with past years.
