(This will be a camping festival, right?)
Yup... it'll be a little smaller than Bonnaroo (only 500 or so acres vs. 700+, IIRC) but still have plenty for camping. I can't imagine trying to make everyone schlep to a hotel every night.
I figured you'd be up for this, seeing as how it's in your backyard .
yeah but you can always take a look at he line ups. some of the people that play lolla are gonna play vineland (including headliners). not all, but at least some. could save you on some travel money.

okay i just checked the radiohead dates and the vineland festival dates and radiohead is gonna be in jersey that weekend... HRMM i bet you guys they will be at vineland festival.
Don't know if anyone has seen or posted this, but some of the locals in the area are trying to put a stop to the festival. They are supposed to hold a meeting, this evening actually, I guess to try and rally the troops.

At this point, it looks like just a bunch of local land developers and political opponents to the mayor gathering together and trying to make the city council's job difficult. Apparently, half of the organizers were on the losing ticket in the last mayoral elections. The other half seem to be land developers with a case of sour grapes that they aren't getting a cut. Let me get this straight... a 3 day festival happening once a year and bringing in millions of dollars to the local economy is more damaging than the urban sprawl your new shopping center is creating?
None of them seem to have a genuine concern about the festival's "impact" on the community. The city council seems to be all for it, so I really don't see there being a problem.

I wish I knew about this earlier, I would've made the trip over there. Honestly, their arguements are retarded. They say that the government should listen to the people, but what about the people that want this festival? That's the sad thing about this country, "my rights are more important than yours." People just need to calm down.
So is it correct that the Vineland Fest is supposed to take place Aug. 8th-10th or am I understanding that wrong? Cause the All Points West Fest aka Coachella east is that same weekend........
