While it hasn't been a full on reunion or anything large scale, Perry and Pete have played 3-4 song acoustic Porno for Pyros sets at the kids stage the past 2 years. Pretty awesome me thinks!
I just wanted to get this thrown out there a little early for people that are thinking of going to Lollapalooza this year. Generally, the lineup wont come out until March but tickets will go on sale this month for a souvenier price (I think this was about 2000 tickets last year) and then first tier price.
If anyone has any questions about the area or how to get where or anything just let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. Or if you are planning on coming up and want a place to crash or just chill for a few hours outside of a hotel you'll be more than welcome at my place.
That is such a nice offer! If I somehow miraculously make it out to chicago for lolla this year I might just take you up on that!! Karma

you have to register on the website and then one day you'll randomly get an email and you have basically 15 minutes to get them before they sell out. I havent gotten an email yet this year and I dont know if they'll do it again. But if they do it rules.
I've been disappointed in Lolla compared to Bonnaroo the last two years, but if I can get ahold of the souveneir tickets I'll DEFINITELY bite. If I don't, I'll need a damn solid lineup to attend this year.

Even though I know the "experience" doesn't hold a candle to Roo, the quality of the Lolla lineup will probably go a long way to determining whether I spend the time and money on Roo.

just picked up a pair also. cant beat 2 for $120 ..instead of 360-400 or whatever they will be full price. hopefully the lineup is as decent as last year.

Have you heard anything about Llolla moving ut of Chicago. Maybe going on the road again like the original show. I read in this somewhere that it was being considered but cannot remember where so I dont know if it is from a reliable source.
Perry wants to take the show on the road again, but he's contracted in Chicago until 2011.
Perry Farrell Wants To Take Lollapalooza Back On The Road — And Across The Pond
NEW YORK — Looking back on this month's Lollapalooza in Chicago has only made founder Perry Farrell more intent on taking the festival to the next level.
"[The show] was sensational," Farrell reflected on Monday night. He cited the curfew-breaking, two-hour set from Pearl Jam, complete with an unexpected fireworks display from another event nearby, as one of the weekend's highlights (see "Pearl Jam Electrify; Amy Winehouse, Lupe Fiasco, Kings Of Leon Also Help Cap Lollapalooza"). "We had an amazing time. It always goes way too fast for the amount of action that's happening there over the course of three days."
The revived festival's success is fueling Farrell's hopes to move future festivals not only beyond Chicago, but overseas for the first time as well.
"Before I die, I'd love to see Lollapalooza travel around the world," said Farrell, who also performed at the festival with his band, Satellite Party. Not that he's burning any bridges in Chicago. The singer said he has only "love and adoration" for the city and its people, who have helped him to re-establish the festival, and he was quick to note that Chicago will be Lolla's home for some time to come (in 2006, Farrell and the city signed a deal that keeps Lollapalooza there through 2011). But Farrell wants to stay true to the roots of the early Lollapalooza festivals, and has his sights set on hitting the road.
"It's just that Europe has never seen Lollapalooza or experienced it," he said. "And people around the country often ask if it will ever come back [to their towns]. So, for their sake, I'd like to see those wheels start to turn again and travel."
Farrell has mentioned this dream before, and he still won't say which specific location he's got his eye on — although London; Paris; Berlin; and Madrid, Spain, all ranked high on his list. "I can't say which one first, because then other people are going to feel like I don't love them as much," he explained diplomatically.
When Lollapalooza enjoyed its early run as the premier touring festival of the '90s, Farrell never tried to take the show across the pond. But the tour founder now says that the underlying message of Lollapalooza is universal, and he soon hopes to prove that.
"I feel that the stage is where the modern musicians thrive, where they should be and really where they belong," he said. "I think people also belong outdoors, enjoying themselves and having a vacation, relaxing and enjoying music. There's where it all culminates and comes together."
Gonna be my first trip up that way... But I've got to go, if this is true. The only thing potentially cooler is how APW has the two night Radiohead performance. Decisions, decisions.

wha-wha-wha-what? thats alot coming from you. while two nights of radiohead will be fantastic/legendary and all, the fest that has the combination of the two headlining, might have the best headliners of the year. (as long as its someone other than Jack as the third, maybe Jane's Addiction?)
