I just wanted to get this thrown out there a little early for people that are thinking of going to Lollapalooza this year. Generally, the lineup wont come out until March but tickets will go on sale this month for a souvenier price (I think this was about 2000 tickets last year) and then first tier price.
If anyone has any questions about the area or how to get where or anything just let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. Or if you are planning on coming up and want a place to crash or just chill for a few hours outside of a hotel you'll be more than welcome at my place.
If you get the souveniers (sign up for the mailling list they sell out in 10 minutes) they were $60 each last year and you could buy two. I think they started tier one in the $180 range last year.

I so could have used you last year. I spent so so much money on a hotel. This year I can't make it due to the wedding. We are thinking Vegoose but we shall wait and see.. So get Karma for the offer though.
I'm on the fence. My lease in Madison ends at the end of July and I intend to relocate. Lolla is Aug 1-3. Not the best timing, but I haven't given up hope yet.
I've already heard the Radiohead rumor too. I would have no problem with packing all my belongings into my parents' garage for one awesome final weekend in the Midwest before moving.

i'm always leery of going to festies in cities i've never been where you don't camp on site
i live in austin so ACL isn't a big deal, but where do you stay that's cheap in chicago?
If you can find some place to crash thats best. If not there is a hostel about 4 blocks from Millenium Park. I think its like $20 a night or something. I would assume it books up pretty far in advance.

So I think this is the lollapalooza message boards wish list. It'd be an amazing couple of days if this were real.
I would seriously drop my Rothbury plans if that was the lineup for Lollapalooza. I wouldn't be able to stop moving all weekend. There would be something playing that I absofuckinlutely love every second. Too bad it's not real!
lol, i just went back to check where i thought i saw the lineup (lolla website) and i was looking at last years. teeheehee. sorry to get you guys all excited
