it took exactly one month from when i purchased 1st leg tickets. it might be longer for this leg since there is a bigger gap between the onsale and actual date of the show. i would expect to know by mid-may to early june at the latest.
I've been a member of waste for some years. I've never had the occasion to buy tickets from you because the shows are sold out by the time I find out.
By not issuing any notification, how are legitimate fans supposed to buy tickets? Relying on ticketmaster is bad enough - we know that is a lost cause. At least a little help from the band's promotional department would be nice.
Here are some "fans" that bought tickets from you today... why, only $1,000 dollars for pit seats? Shit, I'll buy a dozen.
It's disgusting. At the very least, waste should auction these tickets so the band makes money, not some shady ticket reseller.
Wish me luck on Saturday when they go onsale at 10AM. I figure by 10:01 there might be a lawn seat left for me. The rest of the seats are either already sold or will be immediately sold to other ticket scapers in bulk.
^^^^stands and applauds.....well said my man. When the fuck are they going to make ticket scalping illegal? I tried to get Ranconteurs tickets last week and they were GONE by 10:01. WTF?
on the positive side of things, i was able to buy pearl jam seats almost immediately after they went on sale - as in, a few seconds after. i got tickets, but they were waaaaaay in the back. and when i checked a few minutes later, some other seats waaaaaay in the back were still available - and were better than the ones i bought. grrrr
my tip of the day - if you arent referencing www.time.gov when you buy tickets - it's a lost cause.
This is an automated response but hopefully it will answer your question! If not, we aim to repsond to all e-mails within 1 - 3 working days.
NORTH AMERICA SHOWS:

Seat numbers will not be allocated until atleast one month after the pre sale has ended.
Tickets for the first leg of the tour are now being dispatched and we'll e-mail you as soon as your order's been posted. We can no longer make address changes or refunds.

If you have purchased the wrong tickets by mistake, unfortunately we cannot swap them for another show but please go back to the shop and buy the tickets that you do want (if they are still available) then contact us with both orders numbers. We will then refund your initial order.

radiohead posts the presale dates (not times) on Dead Air Space or their website ahead of time but usually one 1 or 2 days. then you play the wait and refresh game. yesterday their servers got absolutely hammered and their were major issues. the only way i can see them changing it is making it a membership type of thing...which honestly i think sucks because you have to pay and then possibly still get 'screwed'
ideally, they should have kept it on the dl, but issued a presale code to the folks that shelled out for the diskbox. or in otherwords, done something even remotely creative to reward legitmate fans with good tickets. they way it is now, its a free for all.
imo, the best fan club is 10 club for pearl jam, and im not a member, i just think they do it best.
I got some for Deer Creek. I got some just in case I just want to go, I still have option. I'm seeing them a bunch this summer. Deer Creek will only happen if it is doable for me. It should be, but I will likely wait until that week to decide 100%. At this point, I think I'm going. But I also think I'm going to 7 others that I am 100% going to.

deathreau - yeah thats frustrating man. i think its kind of bs considering they are playing lolla where they will play on the AT&T stage or Bud Light stage.. but whatever. anyway...so you are close to detroit? i am moving in like 3 weeks to the Novi area and im looking around for cool venues. i've been to the Majestic/Magic Stick in detroit. and the Blind Pig in Ann arbor. i might be checkin out the constantines in Pontiac next week too. you know of any other cool venues in the area or any good local sites for show listings (other than sites like pollstar.com etc)? just curious...

I used to get emails about shows from some company but I think they might have gotten bought out...imagine that. I'll try to find an old email and look into it.
There are quite a few good venues in the area. I've only been to places in Detroit though, nothing in Pontiac, and nothing in AA like the Blind Pig or Michigan Theater, where you'll find some higher profile indie bands playing(Wilco, Sigur Ros).
In Detroit the State Theatre (now called Filmore Detroit) is the "nicest" I've been to. It's right across the street from Comerica Park and right next to the Fox Theater which is probably even nicer since it's been redone, but I've never been there. The State is pretty cool though, it has a bar in the middle of the place with tables and chairs, then a floor with no seating, and a balcony with regular seats. But it definitely tries to be fancy. St. Andrews Hall is decent. It's a big...uh, hall. Plus there's the Shelter which is in the basement of St. Andrews. I saw the Secret Machines there back in 03 or 04 and that was a great show. It probably only holds up to 100. You mentioned the Majestic. My favorite is probably the Masonic Temple. Great acoustics and really beautiful. I've only been there once, to see Spoon in 05...they don't put on too many concerts.
Anyway, welcome to the area. Hopefully DTE invests in some blankets in the near future and we get a Radiohead show.
Seems like I'm forgetting one, but I really don't know much about the local scene or anything. Living in Toledo I just make it up when one of my favorite bands are playing. We're actually getting some halfway decent bands here at Headliners, and we're building a new 10,000 seat hockey arena so I'm hoping we'll get some decent bands to stop by Toledo, but more than likely it'll be classic rock, rap and then Kid Rock will take up a 2 week residence.
More talk of their Bonnaroo performance and this interesting tidbit...let's hope it's true....
Radiohead have rehearsed up to seventy songs for their next tour, which launches in May. The set lists, as always, will change nightly. And there will be new songs as well, ready or otherwise. "It's not very professional," Colin admits. "Sometimes it doesn't work. But every time is unique. It marks the occasion. I love that."

See ya'll in ATL on the 8th!
btw.... My cousin used to work for Carlson hotels and they had this employee incentive program where you earned points. Long story short: he totally had enough points for a free room. Fucking sweet!
4 days for me!!!!!! ;D Cinco de Mayo in South Fla of all days and places
Also, I'll make a separate post for this too: Radiohead performance on Vh1
Just two nights before Radiohead embarks on their World Tour, they will treat fans to a one hour, stripped down intimate performance.
Making its World Premiere exclusively on VH1, “Radiohead_In Rainbows_From The Basement” will premiere on Saturday, May 3 at 12am. Taped in a London studio, Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar), Ed O’Brien (guitar, vocals), Jonny Greenwood (guitar), Colin Greenwood (bass), and Phil Selway (drums) come together for this exclusive performance special. The band will perform songs from their new album In Rainbows (Bodysnatchers, Nude, Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, 15 Step, House of Cards and Reckoner) as well as previous hits (Myxomatosis, Optimistic and Where I End).
The full show will also be online at Music.VH1.com beginning Saturday, May 3. A single-performance “sneak peek” will launch online on Monday, April 28.
i have not seen liars or grizzly bear, and havent really heard much of either..
any recommendations?
I've only listened to Grizzly Bear a little bit and didn't get into it. With more time I might like it, but I'd be much more excited about Liars. You should listen to their newest s/t one, as that's probably what they'll mostly play, along with Drum's Not Dead. I'm not good at describing music anyway, and they're one of the more difficult bands to describe, so you're better off looking up a review or just downloading them if that's an option. They're both good imo. 9 days might not be enough time for Drums Not Dead to sink in though.

for grizzly, check out 'Yellow House' its incredible. their 'Friend EP' is pretty cool too...perhaps more accessible but it has a lot of remixes and stuff on it...not a ton of original material.
edit: i think they really shine in the live setting. i have seen them twice now and it has made me appreciate them that much more.
