this fest is great like that as the same way rado is - its far away from other fests so its easy to commit to in a way ;D
Besides the fact that I'm 20 minutes away from it, the atmosphere seemed very open, the weather was better, and the people were more friendly, compared to Bonnaroo. Besides the Killers, the lineup was A+ too.

LMAO!! And if Chaz and Aly could set up my Diva Tent at 4 am.....yeah....we managed some pretty amazing feats in the freezing Ash cold in the am with 60000 layers of clothes AND leg warmers! ;D
Ohhh....just a thought.....VooDoo is usually around Halloween too...tho I think this year it's actually the weekend BEFORE Halloween...since Halloween is ACTUALLY on a Sat this year isn't it??

I missed out last year on the initial announcement. I found out about it after the second group of names was released (I was randomly checking out some Cat Power dates, and thoughtthat "the echo project" was the opening band). If I recall correctly, that was just after Bonnaroo? Anyone have an idea as to when the festival was announced?

Yeah it got pretty damn cold at night last year, but the daytime temps were dashit! No scorching heat like roo. The dust was pretty bad, not like roo, but pretty bad nonetheless. Especially during Franti....
Yeah that line up is lookin pretty sweet already, there are some kickass names on that list!!
Anyone have an idea as to when the festival was announced?
The original thread here was started July 26. Initial lineup was announced July 30. Early bird tickets went on sale August 1. The early birds were around $120.
