im hoping for mule, wsp, and phil or bobby. umph and sts9 latenights. and thursday night should be grace potter, keller, and dso. that would definitely get more people there on thursday.
i think something like that will double the size of it. maybe mmj.... or if im really dreaming, radiohead. but i think atleast 1 of the headliners will be something more along the lines of beastie boys, pj or something.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
moe. is taking a break until 2009 after moe. down. rem seems like a likely choice too. or coldplay or spoon. something i can nap through im sure ;D thats another reason i love all good. it always three headliners i wanna see instead of the 1 headliner out of 3 that has become the norm at larger fests latley.
My wife and I made it down last year - it was our first "Non Bonnaroo" festival. It was definitely cool. Very laid back and not crowded at all. I kind of felt bad for some of the bands though - seemed like they were playing to such a tiny crowd. The Flaming Lips were the highlight for me and I thought the Killers were pretty entertaining. Man Man was also good. Anybody see the March Fourth Marching Band? My only complaint was cold nights - the days were perfect - but when the sun went down - holy fuck it was cold!

Moe is on a break, huh. Well you could tell last year they had a blast at the fest. I would really like to see REM their, also Coldplay would be sick cause I have yet to see them live.
I've noticed a few big bands that are touring right now that have seemingly forgotten Atlanta (The Raconteurs, PJ, etc). Perhaps I'm just too excited about Echo rolling back around!
I was extremely happy to see so many relevant "indie" rock acts on the lineup last year. I hope they take that route a little deeper. Bring on Radiohead! The eco-issue is foremost for both R-head and the fest, so it seems like a good pairing.
$120 is ab-so-lutely do-able. As long as the lineup is as strong this year.
At Echo, I want to see: Parliment Funkadelic, Deerhoof, Gnarls Barkley, Brian Wilson, Andre 3000, Devendra Banhart, Zappa Plays Zappa, Daniel Johnston, The Roots (encore!), The Stooges, Ween, and... The New Kids on the Block.
"All in all, the creative act is not performed by the artist alone.. the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act." -- Marcel Duchamp
I agree that word of mouth with double the festival size (my crew will more than double). I hope they don't go the route of a major headliner like Radiohead or Pearl Jam. That would certainly increase the size to a point that would make the festival less fun. Honestly, I would be thrilled with the same kind of lineup as last year. I'd gladly accept a little bit worse of a lineup (since last year was so stacked). I just don't want this to be a 40K festival.

P-Funk would be amazing they should play a latenight andre 3000 and gnarls barkley (cee-low) could happen since there atlanta locals ween should play at every fest if they show up this year they need to headline or atleast get a latenight

^^^Pretty late. The first mention of it on here was July 26, and when I googled it, I couldn't find any news articles that dated any earlier than that.
The Echo MySpace does say "2008 Dates Coming Soon" as the quote, so hopefully, they will announce a little earlier this year.
