wow, yesterdays spurs/suns game was a total embarrassment for san antonio...they totally deserved to lose...oh well, at least we have the fact that no team that has ever gone 0-3 in a series has ever come back to win it on our side...kudos to phoenix for showing some fight, but the next game will be in san antonio...GO SPURS GO!!!

^^ I'm jealous that someone is going to get a good game. Haha.
Mine was a total letdown.. to be honest, I had sworn off watching game 4 because I thought we'd get swept-- but I couldn't stay away.. I'm glad we won atleast 1.
Hornets gonna end that series tomorrow night in the NOLA. They are gonna be set to sit back and watch the Suns and Spurs finish duking it out and hopefully wear each other out. Hopefully the Suns can make it an interesting series.
I don't think the Pistons lose this series, but I also don't think it bodes well for them against the Magic. Again, no interior defense for the Pistons. This will be a repeated theme throughout the playoffs. Teams with no interior defense will lose. Teams with it will win. This means teams like Utah, Detroit, Los Angeles and Phoenix have been largely overrated by the media at large. I cannot think of a single NBA Finals champion in recent memory that did not have excellent defense inside.
No interior defense? Rasheed Wallace, Antonio McDyess, Jason Maxiell, Theo Ratliff....How many teams have better interior defense than Detroit? I know I'm a Pistons fan, but not many imo. And they specifically do a good job against Dwight Howard. Their frontline is obviously old, but it still does a very good job.
In their 4 matchups this year Howard averaged 17 and 11 on 47% shooting. On the season he's 21, 14, 60%. And when Detroit swept them last year he only scored over 13 once.
Wow, this has been painful. Thank goodness for Tayshaun Prince or you guys would be up 3-1 easy. He's holding this team together on offense and defense. Until the second half of game 4 I was almost convinced that Chauncey Billups is trying to throw the series. You guys can't be too happy with Igoudala either. I love seeing him jack up that ugly jumper....

No, unless AI decides to start playing and figures out how to score against that test tube lab created freak, Tayshaun, the Sixers will be done. And that jumper is only ugly when it's not going in. If he gets hot, he's got the sweetest J around.
I didn't see the game, but from the looks of the stats, Igy had a solid game, but we decided to not play defense. Either that or those Pistons had a really good offensive night. I'm guessing a bit of both. Oh well, I'm just hoping to push this to a game 7.

Yeah, Igoudala started off hot hitting some jumpers and the game was close early, but Detroit finally started to execute on offense and Chauncey and Rasheed got hot from 3. I don't think Philly really played poor defense...that's just about as good as Detroit can play offensively.
by the way, Wallace, Maxiell, and McDyess did dominate inside with 11 blocks between them.

Yeah, by "finally started to execute" I meant finally since it's game 5. It does read like I was saying it took Detroit a while to get going last night, and yeah, that wasn't the case.
I'm scared as hell of a game 7. If Philly wins tomorrow that could really throw Detroit's confidence for a loop.
my magic are going strong... deff cant wait to see who they have to play..
I don't think it's gonna matter who your Magic play. Unless the Pistons play consistantly like they did last night, I'd guess the Magic will beat either the Pistons or the Sixers. Howard is a freak.

The Pistons abuse Howard. He can't handle Sheed, Dyess, and Theo. They would only beat Detroit if Lewis shows up bigtime and Turkoglu plays out of his ass.

Wow... Goodbye Johnson.
I guess the highest regular season win percentage among coaches over 250 games doesn't mean much when the Mavs flop again in the first round of playoffs

and if Jameer Nelson plays out of his mind. Chauncey is stil got the B-B-Billups!!
I havent watched any of the playoffs this year. I'm beefin' it. But its okay, since the pacers havent done shyt since trading away all their talent (and O'Neal being hurt ..since forever)
being at the at&t center last night for the spurs/suns game was crizakey...it was a good fight all the way to the end, but only one team can win...just glad it was the spurs...GO SPURS GO!!!

First, Ratliff doesn't play, thus including him is irrelevant unless you want to talk about the impact of Jason Smith for the Sixers.
Also, while stats are all good and well about Dwight Howard, the fact is you neglected to mention that the Magic beat the Pistons twice this year. Largely because the piss poor Pistons interior defense chose to double team Dwight Howard allowing Hedo and Rashard have their way with the perimeter players.
Simple fact is the Pistons will NOT win the interior battle with the Magic, who have 3 guys over 6'10 capable of going 20/10 any given night. They can try and take away Howard all they want, but the other players for the Magic will beat them.
The Pistons will have to take advantage of their superiority on the perimeter if they hope to win. If you look at their two wins against the Magic this season, they came in games in which they dicated the pace on the perimeter and beat the Magic by exploiting their middling perimeter defense.
But if the Pistons come out shooting cold, things will get ugly really fast.
