It doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. Two general admission tickets valued at about four-hundred dollars, all for about 30 minutes spent being creative. Even if you do hand over all rights to your work, where else are you going to use the logo?
It may be just me, but I fail to see the problem with the contest. I personally will be selling out in hopes of getting those two free GA's.

i would hope it would be a little more than 30 minutes of being creative! and you have to consider that giving out free tickets costs no dollars for the promoters, so it's all money made off of your work.
but it just seems like since they are making at least $30/shirt - i could make as much as the value of their prize if i sold shirts while wandering around in tent city for like an hour.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Did anyone get a letter from Bonnaroo.com directly addressing their design.. They asked for information from me like age, address, interest in the festival, etc. All adressed to "Matt"..
i'm not sure whats going on, but this sure would be tits if i won a pair of tix! ;D
Last year there was a post or topic about the bonnaroo symbol. Does anyone remember that? What is the name of the 3 circle symbol? Any help would be much appreciated!

Does anyone know how many designs you're allowed to enter? There's no mention of it in the rules and i've yet to get a reply from superfly themselves. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have something I am putting the finishing touches on, it is an exciting process involving yourself with the vision of others' becoming one with the creative spirit that is so obviously affecting us all, these are the diamonds found on the ground inside the morning dew, I await each moment, I look forward to sharing my vision with you all and recieving yours as openly

Cheers!
Doing some digging via www.wikipedia.com led me to the obvious reference to Led Zeppelin's fourth album.
It was John Bonham's symbol and he might of intended it to be a Christian reference to the Trinity. He may also have been referring to a represention of a child and her parents. (Does Schoolhouse Rock's Three is a Magic Number come to mind? Maybe Blind Melon's cover will do it)
The symbol is also related to <uggh> mathematics in the form of Johnson's theorem...
In the end, however, the correct term is Borromean rings stemming from an Italian family's coat of arms from around the twelfth century CE. However, there are allusions to the symbol as far back as the Vikings with their funky Valknut.
On the otherhand maybe, like John Bonham, these Bonnaroo guys just like beer...
Btw, here are a few designs I came up with for the logo contest...
