and one more thing... when exactly did MMJ add the columbus show. i saw the boys at bonnaroo and in louisville a few days ago.... then i come home and-what? columbus? my backyard? i assume it's been posted for quite some time. i think everytime i looked at the tour schedule my eyes would glaze over at louisville....

I'm the opposite of moderate, immaculately polished With the spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a college kid Allergic to the counterfeit, impartial to the politics Articulate but still would grab a ni**a by the colla quick
The September 24th date in Las Vegas at The Joint Inside Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has been cancelled due to a casino scheduling conflict, and unfortunately will not be rescheduled on this tour. Anyone holding advance purchase tickets may return them for refund at the point of sale.
Just got back from red rocks and that was the most fun since bonnaroo!
More info PLEASE! Nothing is up on their site yet--what did they play? How long they play? Any crazy bust outs? How tight were they? What crazy sh*t did Jim say?
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...

Show was magical yet again. Jacket played from 8:45 to about 11:30, so even with the Black Keys (who were really good) cutting into their time, we still got a full night of the gang. Setlist was pretty similar. I wouldnt be able to post it now, but I am sure it will be up on their site soon. Highlights for me was an unbeleiveable rockin version of Lay Low. We got Cobra (not all 24 mins) in the encore which was a cool surpirse. As always the Run Thru -> OBH to end the show killed!
Nothing too crazy I can remember from James, he praised the beauty of Red Rocks for a while.
Hope that helps a little Dream. Sorry I dont have a setlist.

Thanks for the review! I finally found the setlist--you all got Cobra AND War Begun. Ridiculous.

i've seen the Jacket at bonnaroo and then in louisville... both shows were amazing... but i'm a little worried about being let down in columbus... it's just columbus, run-of-the-mill show right? i'm still hoping for 3 hours... it's "an evening with"... ya know
will we be blessed with them at bonnaroo again? is it too much to ask?
RED ROCKS: so, did Jim's voice do some serious echoing in the canyon....?

If they can rock Kansas City, they can rock Columbus.

Today, we profiled My Morning Jacket, who make no secret of their love for Erykah Badu. Now Badu tells us she "loves" the group's version of her '97 hit "Tyrone." "They put a new twist on it," she says. "It's bluesy and soulful, where my version is more joking. I think I prefer their version to mine." Badu calls the Kentucky rockers "one of my favorite bands" and says she plans on seeing them Saturday night at the Palladium Ballroom.

They're out of control.
Yes. Yes to what you said.
Glad to see some of you guys make your way over to the MMJ forum, it's pretty slow over there most of the time, and dammit, I need to fuel my obsession with the Jacket.

Sorry Nate....he wasn't wearing the boots, although he did rock the cape several times.
I posted some pictures in the other MMJ forum. I think it is in Troo Music Lounge.
Did they play Librarian at any of the other shows? They didn't play that song last night, which I though was weird...but thye played for three hours so I was definitely satisfied!
