1.) I believe there were a couple shower locations around campsites. Last year the one closest to me was about a 15 minute walk from my site. They will be identified on your map.......just gotta read the legend.
2.) I think it was 5 or 10 bucks for a shower but it wasn't any more than that. You get as much time as you need......although they aren't super-clean or very private so most people wash themselves off quick and head out.
3.) There were two sections. They were like separate trailers. Guys and Girls. Inside there were like 6-10 (can't remember) small showers that each had it's own section so you weren't really standing next to anyone. Everyone got their own shower. When one person came out of the shower trailer.....then one person on line would be allowed in. And so on.
They start out with curtains, but they are kind of small and don't close completely. By Sunday, their may not be curtains any more. So it's semi-private. No body really cared though
What if you have a hideously deformed johnson and whipping it out in front of people would make you feel like the Elephant Man in that scene where his mask gets ripped off and everybody got all freaked out and started harassing him and he yelled "I am not an animal, I am a MAN!"? Would it then be wise to wear shorts or are said showers private enough to hide one's elephant man junk from an ill prepared public? This is all hypothetical and doesn't apply to me of course...I don't plan on showering.

I'm going to bring a bunch of extra shampoo/conditioner/body wash that I practically got for free when a local organic grocery store closed their business. I figured this is a good place to get rid of some since I have a huge stash.

The showers in VIP gave out samples of Garnier products all weekend. I would hope they did this at the $10 shower sites, too. There was plenty of good smelling stuff to wash up with.
So I bought a shower tent only $40 on amazon.......
Does anyone use these in tent only area or would it annoy neighbors there........maybe just keep it at camp with the car?
You can use it in either. Just make sure you know where the water is going so you don't flood your neighbors. We had neighbors that continually flooded us in '03 and it was no fun.

This does not apply to me either. HOWEVER,......
... IF IT DID I would walk around showing it to people all day even when I wasn't at Bonnaroo.
I bought a Tex-Sport Portable Shelter/Shower Juss en Kase. On a side note, has anyone used the hair salon there? I'm tempted to get something crazy done on a whim.
Showers are in the WHAT IS PROVIDED Section and says NOTHING about a fee.
I do not believe they can expect everyone to have been at roo last year and know the fee.
In that youtube Bonnaroo Preview pt 2 they were talking about showers & alwyas having new surprises for us all.
So I'm callin it out... SHOWERS ARE PROVIDED THIS YEAR !!!
I could be wrong though, I dunno, I never took a shower at roo.
good luck with that:-) In what is provided they list the general store, pretty sure that stuff isn't free either. In 2003 and 04 I got up early in the morning and used the free water station to shower each day. It was cold(but refreshing) and not very private but it worked. Would be hard to do this any other time of day though, to many people waiting in line.
I use the "troughs" in the evening and to get cleaned up and refreshed for the nite shift. Not too crowded at about 5-6pm
This year I threw together a camp shower from spare parts I had laying around. I used an old condensate pump from our old heat pump, floated it in water in a rubbermade tub so it pumps the tub dry and attached tubing and a shower head. Made a test run and it works fine. And everything packs into the tub for storage and hauling.
May or may not bring it as I will still have to get water to it or haul it to the water station. And I never minded the trough baths. Mainly just made the shower because I had the parts and wanted to see if it would work.

In that case you might qualify for a show on The Sonic Stage

Showers are $10.00. Last year the trailer was next to a cluster of trees out by BFE.
There are individual, seperated stalls with a curtain. You can shower as long as you like and the water is hot.
There are seperate trailers for males and females.
Be sure to bring some flip-flops to step out of the shower into as the floor is wet and muddy.
Don't waste your money on a shower in the middle of the day. You will just get sweaty again. Instead take one as the sun starts to set, you will be squeaky clean all through the late night sets. I only took two showers last year. One on Friday before Tool and one on Saturday before The Police. It was the best $20.00 I spent all weekend.

Hmm. I highly doubt the showers are free. I have a feeling that a lot of VIPers, staff and volunteers -- who get free showers as a perk -- would be mega-pissed that everybody gets one of their benefits!!
That being said, I'm a volunteer this year and am looking forward to those showers!
