I saw the showers last year but I just didn't want to stand in line. Does it move along pretty quickly? I just didn't want to be standing there all day.

I heard the late night is the best time to hit them up...but I can't verify that. I bought a solar shower and a shower tent. So I'll be getting fresh & clean at my campsite. Hopefully it works...I was even thinking about how I could heat water on a stove to get it super hot. Although I'm sure if I just leave the shower bag in my car all day it will be pretty warm already.

We considered a solar shower, but have nowhere to hang one. Instead, we bought one of those gallon garden sprayer tank things for $12 at Wally World. It's a brand-new one -- I'd be afraid to re-use one with pesticide residue in it.
We figured that would be enough to spray down enough to soap up, quick wash of the hair, and rinse off.

Step one: Acquire bucket, Step two: Fill bucket with water Step three: Lather up with a little bit of water and a washcloth Step Four: Dump bucket over your head.
Complete these steps and you will have taken a shower. Plus the cold water will feel very refreshing. Never understood why people like warm/hot showers in the summer. Ice cold is the best

I just took a large cup (from that vendor that sold the homemade sodas?) and used it in the troughs for free. This is free and just as refreshing with little or no wait.

I walked by the showers around 11am each day and there were no lines. I walked by also early evening a few times and no lines then either. I think I will spend the money on the Saturday and take one, but the other days will just wash my hair at the troughs.

i've never showered at bonnaroo. there are so many better things to spend $10 on. i just wash my hair in the troughs and that's all i really need to feel much, much better. you just have to accept the dirt... it's not so bad, and wet wipes work wonders.

Me either, it always seemed like a waste of money and effort. Last year I just danced in the rain and got a nice refreshing shower. the 2 years before that between the sun and the bonnadust there was no way you'd get greasy or anything. A solar shower just seemed like a pain too, why would you stand in line at the water station and then lug a couple of gallons back to your campsite then saturate the ground around your campsite? If you can't go camping for 4 days without showering then its not really camping

Take a garden hose with you to Bonnaroo. The spigots at the troughs have threads on them where you can screw a hose on them. Then you can shower off without trying to figure out how to "get in the trough". Plus you'll be really popular with all the people in line behind you who want to "borrow your hose for a while".

This is a really great idea!! Is there such a thing as a short hose?

See "Naked Wizard Tazered at Coachella" for short hose.

I'm bringing a garden hose just to spray down the wook phishheads. They probably haven't showered since the last show at best. Lazy slacker hippie commies.
Walmart sells shower stalls for $25. Totally worth it if you attend lots of festivals. I just grab a gallon of water and go to town. get yourself wet... apply soap... then rinse off. I can get a really good washdown with one gallon of water. there is no need to hang a 4 gallon solar bag. if you set the gallon of water on top of the car for an hour it gets plenty warm. besides it gets hotter than balls so a cool shower feels great and is really refreshing.

Hey! That's a pretty good idea... I'll have to look into it when I'm at the evil Wal*Mart tomorrow night. I was wondering though, in '07 it seemed like every other time I went to take a shower they were closed... Anyone know what's up with that? Is there a schedule or something?
i bought a solar shower really cheap online. it was less than the cost of one 'roo shower and the boy and i will both be able to stay clean all weekend if we should choose to. i think that's the best for me, while i can go four days without showering, i think hosing myself off with lukewarm water after dancing particularly hard, or in the morning when it's super hot just appeals to me.
