Jel would be awesome. So would Divinci from Solillaquists of Sound. Nobody ever shows any love for People Under The Stairs though. They are a MUST BRING for Roo!!! If you haven't heard them yet, check 'em out. They're ridiculous.
I just don't see Wu or Red/Mef fitting in at all at the Roo. Even less than Metallica or Jack Johnson. Little too grimy for the Roo although I would be up front for sure. Reunited Tribe or Pharcyde would seem to be perfect though!

YES!!!!! didn't even think of them but they would be great at Roo. Acid Raindrops is one of my fav hip hop songs ever.
J5 reunion next year would be a dream come true. it seems like chali 2na is the only one doing anything lately so i say in the next 2 to 3 years we will hear something about them getting back together.
other than that...murs, z-trip, dr.dre (has a new album thats been in the works for years), i would say some shape or form of MF doom but he has been known to pull a Kanye at his shows, Wu tang or just Ghostface. i could go on forevaa eva eva.

Lupe should come back. Only because I missed him and wish I wouldn't have. a Tribe reunion would be amazing. Dizzee Rascal would be pretty cool as well.

Yeah, The Roots have played 'Roo twice and haven't gotten a late night spot yet. The Legendary Roots crew are perfect for a 3 hr or longer late night tent set. And if they scheduled other hip-hop artists like Mos Def, Erykah Badu, or Common for the festival they could join in on the fun.

I really think making Jay-z a headliner would be a good way to let hiphop redeem itself at the Roo. Not that other hip hop artists this year weren't great, but that we need to put Kanye behind us.

I agree with you. He could definitely help enlighten people who don't believe in hip-hop, or who decided to give it a chance in the form of Kanye, but were disappointed. Having him and Outkast? Forget about it. That should convert everyone.
Lil Wayne would not not headline, sorry. Biggest MC in the game right now. He would be awesome, as long as he could still stand when he took the stage, and I'm sure he would have some crowd involvement.
Jay-Z would be so sick. Beastie Boys as well. Outkast I think top both of them, but that seems unlikely. The Roots would be sick too.
Ultimate hip hop late night...Tupac finally comes out of the cave he's been hiding in and does an unannounced late night Which Stage set. And Snoop joins him. And they shoot blunts into the crowd using MMJ's glowstick shooter.
