Public Enemy would be my ultimate wish for hip hop at Roo. Followed by Outkast, Black Star, Jay Z, Tribe Called Quest, and Beastie Boys. Saul Williams is sort of hip hop, but if he counts, I'd like that as well... give him a longer set than what he got a few years back (apparently he only got 45 minutes or so.)

KRS 1, Jay-Z or Outkast That would be cool, I am hoping we get one of those artists. Since this is the hip hop thread, did anyone see the Coup on the Sonic Stage last year? They changed up their sound completely for it. Check it out, hardly anybody has watched these videos. Watch Ride the fence from 3:50 on.
The Coup Sonic stage show was one of my favorite sets of last year's bonnaroo! I didn't catch their full-band set because of sigur-ros, but the sonic stage set was nice and intimate. Plus Boots was a really cool guy, sticking around to sign autographs. Waiting in the autograph line listening to abigail washburn was a nice treat too ;D
hopefully Boots comes back down to bonnaroo, maybe with tom morello for their new 'streetsweeper' project

ooooh! yes! i saw some of this at the tom morello show in boston a month or so ago! it was very ratm-y, but without zach. probably easier to listen to in polite company. im looking forward to hearing that ep/album when it comes out.
It would be awesome if Jay-Z showed up, but he's too big for a late night. Common seems pretty likely. He just dropped an album and he seemed to have a good time last time he performed at Bonnaroo.
Common would be sick and N.E.R.D. would be awesome (they have a toooooon of live energy, youtube some of their poop)
However, I just saw a Wu Tang show not too long ago and they absolutely bring it. Method Man wasn't there either, so I can imagine with him it would be insane. I just youtubed some Method Man and Redman shows, and check out this poop. The whole video's pretty awesome, but at about 2:10 in it gets crazy.
Would love to see Red and Mef at Roo but I think they might be a bit too grimy for the farm. Same with Wu. Saw both these shows in the last couple months. Wu Tang was OK. They were definitely missing Meth's charisma. The Redman/Method Man show was one of my favorite hip hop shows of the last couple years and I see lots of live hip hop.

Really pissed I didn't catch ANY of the Hip Hop stuff from last year. I really wanted to see Lupe, Talib, and The Coup. Man I messed that one(or three) up! The Coup with Tom Morello would be insanity.

One of my biggest regrets was leaving Pearl Jam early to Catch THe Coup. THey werent as good as PEarl Jam. My other regret was leaving Sigur Ros for KAnye and missing everything else.

This is true.
I was just youtubing some OutKast live stuff. Their crowds were always dead, but they sure did bring it. I can't imagine what a show at Bonnaroo would be like, off the flippin hook without a doubt. I don't care who else plays, if OutKast is there I will be there. I know it's wishful thinking, but whatever.
If OutKast can't be there, I'm gonna say the next best thing is N.E.R.D. for me at least
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
I agree with Jeremeywww in an earlier post that the Knux would be a great fit for too. I just started listening to them a while back and thought they would be a lot of fun there. Oh and Public Enemy would def be a dream!
