Jay-Z would be so sick. Beastie Boys as well. Outkast I think top both of them, but that seems unlikely. The Roots would be sick too.
a lot of people, including myself have said that outkast is not likely but maybe its not as far fetched an idea as inforoo believes.
apparently outkast has confirmed that there will be a new album in 2009. maybe this has been mentioned before but the idea of outkast at roo excites me.
Oh my oh my. If Outkast is at Roo I am gonna say that that would lock me down. I can just see a late night PARTY with those guys. Not that I've ever heard a word about their live show, but I can imagine it would be awesome. Which stage, 12-2 Saturday night to kick off hip-hop night.
DON'T EVERYONE LIKE THE SMELL OF GASOLIINE WELL BURN MOTHER FUCKER BURN AMERICAN DREAMS

So I've just been reminded of the awesomeness of N.E.R.D. live. I saw one of their shows with the Glow in the Dark tour and it was crazy energy even though the place was only half filled. I wish I could embed videos, but here's a video of them that I'd think would get people excited about them. video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&q=nerd+live&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv&oi=property_suggestions&resnum=0&ct=property-revision&cd=1# Even if you don't really like their music, it's a freaking party with them. If it went from N.E.R.D. -> Outkast, I think I'd be done for the weekend, no energy left, haha.
The Beastie BOys The Roots MF DOOM Madlib BlackStar A Tribe Called Quest Pharcyde would be a great hip hop lineup and well respected. Outkast would be sick but Andre doenst perform and hasnt for some years now so thats the only reason i dont see that happening
A Rhymesayers late night set (Atmosphere, Brother Ali, P.O.S./Doomtree) would be cool but the names arent nearly as big as Lupe, Kweli, Verbal Herman Monster, and the Coup, not to mention ive already seen that same set before (my first concert).
Atmosphere, The Roots, Lupe and Cunninlyguists are my favorite hip hop artists so any of them would be awesome. Tre of the Pharcyde was with Ozomatli so maybe The Pharcyde could show up or maybe J5 could have a reunion. This website makes me speculate and dream like crazy, and I love it.
There's an MC out of DC called Wale that just released The Mixtape About Nothing (a Seinfeld spoof)... He'd be sick to see... He's still unsigned, a little underground, and would be a great opener to the hip-hop late night

i've actually heard a few of his songs, and needless to say i wouldn't mind having him there.

We hung out for about an hour and a half with Tre from The Pharcyde at Bonnaroo (he was MC'ing for Ozomatli). He's a VERY down to Earth and genuinely nice guy. I'd be all about seeing them at Roo.
Fugees/outkast was a great idea. I would pick Outkast over JayZ to be there, but it would be cool if they each had there set right after the other and then they both put on a show together at the end with Rihanna or Eve as a guest. What about Eminem? But not by himself, he would have to bring someone with him. I know this is very unlikely.
Eminem, would be the new Kanye in my opinion, he represents a lot of why I dont like Hip Hop much. In all fairness I have been exposed to some great hip hop at 'roo, but he is a corporate sellout wannabe gangsta.
This may be a long shot for some of ya'll, but for the past 3 years I have been thinking Devin The Dude would be a perfect fit for a hip-hop artist at Bonnaroo. The man is a genius....at...well...what he does.

Went to the Wu Tang show recently in San Diego - they were OK but no Meth and he is their best stage presence IMO.
The Knux would be really cool at Roo. I am really liking their debut and they are being billed as the next Outkast by the media and I think they would be a good fit...
