^^^Next thing you know you will get there and be suddenly be told with no prior disclosure that you have to now wait in a long line to get a bracelet with detachable tabs that allow you to purchase a maximum of five $8.00 crappy beers, which you will be forced to drink in an overcrowded cattle pen that is no where near any of the stages... oh, wait... sorry, my bad, that was APW
At least APW had Radiohead
thats pretty much ALL it had. oh and good views. I wonder if it will happen again this year..
i was reading on the langerado myspace that all hotels are now going for $200+ a night around there. most people wont be able to go unless they live in the area or have a friend who does.

what a bummer, thats all i can really say. but its not like the magic that happened last year could be repeated. the glades, the music, the unspeakables. pure lovelyness at the rado' in 07'.

Um....wouldn't last year be 08?
last year was 2007 until Jan 1st.. hahah just messin with ya
i am assuming Thievery Corporation (live) means that its a live band and not a dj set. because i would assume that all the other bands there will be 'live' as well.

I think Rado, like this thread...has just about died for a lot of us. Announcing the move to Miami and a "meh" lineup...a lot of people just aren't interested anymore.
I was really excited about the leaks and we reserved a hotel just in case. But If those really are the headliners .... Yeah. A lot of good stuff but nothing I cant see elsewhere.
I don't like how they have the line-up set up. George Clinton, Tortoise, The Pogues, Bad Brains, and Broken Social Scene should be higher up on the list. While Dashboard Confessional, Slightly Stoopid, and Ryan Adams should be lower. Just my opinion.

i was really stoked to try and make this festie this year after all the good things i heard from last year. but i'm not a big fan of city fests. i do ACL because i live in austin, but having to pay for 3 nights at a hotel on top of gas and ticket prices and whatnot...not gonna happen.
Here's the breakdown so far of who's playing on each day, from the Langerado website:
Friday March 6th Snoop Dogg - Flogging Molly - Broken Social Scene - The Faint - Chromeo - Tricky - Against Me! - Bad Brains - Lotus - Gym Class Heroes - The Aggrolites - Holy F*ck - The Virgins - Tortured Soul - Tiger City - more TBA
Saturday March 7 Death Cab For Cutie - Thievery Corporation (Live) - Slightly Stoopid - The Pogues - Umphrey's McGee - Cold War Kids - Public Enemy - Pepper - Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Mute Math - George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic - Tortoise - Ozomatli - Grupo Fantasma - Rebelution - Budos Band - Lucero - King Khan and the Shrines - K'Naan - Ra Ra Riot - Rachel Goodrich - Spam Allstars - Awesome New Republic - Suenalo - more TBA
Sunday March 8 Ryan Adams and the Cardinals - Matisyahu - Dashboard Confessional - Michael Franti & Spearhead - The Disco Biscuits - Steel Pulse - Cafe Tacuba - Girl Talk - Devotchka - Black Kids - Tokyo Police Club - Zac Brown Band - Cloud Cult - The Gaslight Anthem - Murs - Blue King Brown - The Heavy Pets - The Postmarks - more TBA
Saturday might be worthwhile if I can get off work. Followed by some latenight Bisco.
This is a perfect lineup for a camping festival. Terrible lineup for a hotel/cab festival. Pity to waste so many good bands.
On the other hand, since nobody is going to go to this, this could be a FANTASTIC time. Looks very similar to the Echo Project festival that no one attended. Hmmmmmm.

Now that i look at the lineup again, its not THAT bad. But its still in the middle of Miami. What deters me the most is hotels. I dont think i would make the trip again this year with this lineup even if it was at big cypress again.

Alright quite frankly my eyes are far too tired from reading the Bonnaroo Clues thread to see if anybody asked this already...but does anybody else find it odd that Gym Class Heroes is playing Langerado?
I mean they used to be awesome, very inventive and new, but now they changed their sound around and it seems like they're trying to fit the more standard rapping role.
there ain't no place I'd rather be, Drink all day and rock all night My name is treetop And I'm higher than you'll ever be I'm married to my roots here Still I feel like I am free 6/11/09 -> 6/14/09: Bonnaroo
