No way Kings of Leon is in a tent... They are entirely too big at this point, with a top 10 album, headlining arenas in Europe, and coming from a short distance away... If anything, they get a bump up this year to pre-headliner

I would put a lot of money on Springsteen being there, as he has an album coming out in January.
I have hoped for this for a few years and think he would kill. I am assuming we are talking about Bruce with the E Street Band and not solo. The problem with this year is that Conan takes over on the Tonight Show in June and I am sure Max will be there for that. I could be wrong though.

They are just coming off of a fairly extensive tour. I don't think he will tour without Max (if it is an E Street Band tour). And normally Max can miss time where needed from Conan, but I don't see it happening with him just starting at the Tonight Show around that time. I hold out hope though.
What about Blitzen Trapper and Elbow, both have songs that are getting noticed and they seem like they fit the mold for middle of the list bands.

They're touring with Iron and Wine, just released a phenomenal album (entitled Furr), and have seen a steadily growing fanbase over the last few years that will undoubtedly continue to grow... I still think there is a huge chance of this happening. They only tape 5 days a week.

Got quite a few acts I mentioned in my previous post.
I'm surprised, unless I've missed it, noone hasn't mentioned Neil Young. I saw him in '03 and it was intense. I'd love to see him back and amazed he hasn't played since then.

i've never seen neil young, ever. as for legendary/historical folk artists, neil has always been my favorite, ahead of dylan. i've seen dylan. bonnaroo has been a place where i've seen a lot of people for the first time - widespread, allmans, trey, wilco, white stripes, modest mouse, and too many others to list. neil is #1 on my bonnaroo/must see wishlist before i die.
i'd like the headliners to be neil young (but i wouldn't be against springsteen either), i'm not sure if both these phish and dead rumors would happen in the same year (would be fine with either or both, never seen either) and really want dmb (seen 20+ times) or coldplay (who i've only seen once, although a lot of people don't care for either), coldplay puts on one hell of a show
Im volunteering again hopefully this year. If Phish is at Roo this year, and if they schedule me to work during that time . . . . . . i dont know, i think i might have to give up my deposit and see phish.
Trey hasnt been at Bonnaroo is 2 years, so he has to be back no matter what this year . . .. and i hope its for Phish

people are always ugh ehh naa...when they here about phish or some awesome lineup at another festival...is cuz there fanboys of another fest and are uber jealous of what we got

I don't care for that rumor. If not AC/DC then maybe Aerosmith?!?! If this is true, I've lost my faith in the folks at Superfly.
Frankly, I think the guy is full of it. AC/DC, Phish, and Bruce happen to be the three most highly rumored/talked about acts on this board. There are always surprises.

Phish (and Primus, also PJ but that ain't happening again so soon) is about the only band that would assure me going to Bonnaroo 09. Springsteen would be good to, give me a nightime slot to get some sleep. I doubt Phish will be there though. I'm betting on the Dead with Warren on sat, ac/dc friday, Dave on sunday which would mean Rothbury for me.
