Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'd rather see them at Bonnaroo then the Rolling Stones.
Are you joking? Are you forgetting The Stones wrote Wild Horses, Sympathy For The Devil, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Gimme Shelter, etc., etc.?

^ I don't think he forgot that so much as he remembered that they are all like 107 years old, decrepit, and well past their prime (although, the same things could likely be said about AC/DC). It isn't about the songs they wrote, but how they preform them now.
I'd rather see them at Bonnaroo then the Rolling Stones.

1) I love the Rolling Stones, but they might be the most pretentious big name rock act of all time. Half of the songs you listed, I hate. This could be said of any of their hits.
2) AC/DC are the opposite of pretentious. They worship the back beat, love blues riffs and guitar solos and seem to have an affinity for partying and women who like oral sex. This does not make them unique as rock stars, it's just most rock stars hide the fact that those elements are essentially why they're in the business they're in.
3) As BD said, I believe at this point AC/DC is the better live act.
4) The Rolling Stones never wrote an album as good as Back in Black.
5) The single most grow-up moment for any fan of music is when you realize you're being a stuck up kanye for hating AC/DC or thinking you're too good to listen to them.
If you do not understand why AC/DC is a great band, chances are you need to: do less drugs, drink more beer and take yourself far less seriously.
These are, of course, broadly worded truisms, but ones I've found to be generally true of people I've met.

To me there is a common problem with both. About 80% of both bands catalog is crap, if they only play there "good" (I know this is subjective) stuff either would be great. If they do like most of these older bands they will alternate new/old and that is not going to hold a lot of interest for me. In all fairness a lot of bands treat Bonnaroo like a special show and really pull out there best stuff for it.

Eh, opinions are opinions. I prefer The Stones. You prefer AC/DC. Whatever.
I wouldn't say I'm a "stuck up asshole" or "too good to listen to them". They just don't do anything for me.

What about Hot Chip? They were at Roo in 2007 and just had an album come out...I think they're a possibility?
Girl Talk as well...he just had an album come out...
I want Hot Chip back and in a late night slot. Girl Talk, I don't know. His crowds have gotten a lot rougher over the past year or so and it kinda makes it less enjoyable.
4) The Rolling Stones never wrote an album as good as Back in Black.
I must respectfully disagree with this statement.
Seconded.
Really, I don't doubt AC/DC would put on a better show, it's just a simple fact to me that I like way more of Rolling Stone's music... not that I want them at Roo in the least. I am just really, really, really tired of AC/DC. Probably the most overplayed band of all time.
anyone know if dmb will be back ive heard rumors but didnt know and also how are they about letting minors in with beer haha ive heard that they dont care and also that they do so just wondering

No one can visibily bring beer or liquor into Centeroo. I've purchased it inside several times over the years back when I was underage. You can also walk in beyond quacked up, too.
DMB, who knows. It is a possibility. Dave seems to enjoy the Farm.

Bonnaroo has strict rules about no alcohol being sold to minors, although I am sure that just like anywhere else there are exceptions to the rule that do not get caught. 'roo is what you make it with or with out party favors. Try to focus on the event and not how much beer you can sneek in. Karma and welcome to Inforoo.

Yeah, Exile on Main St. was pretty bad ass, but I bet I'm the only person that would choose that one as better than Back in Black. Of course, Back in Black is a bad ass album as well. If, hypothetically in bizarro-Roo, both AC/DC and The Stones headlined, I probably wouldn't see either of them or just a little bit of both. I probably know most of both their respective catalogs by heart, but somehow maintain complete indifference to seeing them live. Does that sound strange to anyone?
They will most likely play two or three smaller "under-the-radar" shows throughout SoCal, then have their "reunion" show at Coachella. Most likely the same exact thing Jane's Addiction have been doing for the past month......
