Regarding Prince, I've heard a lot of rumors involving Miami...could be a residency thing like he did in Las Vegas and London. Could be any number of festivals down there. You never know with the Purple One.

Anyone think Third Eye Blind might play? They are playing SXSW & Bamboozle so far....
Personally, I hope not. They are, bar none, the single band I despise the most. If I could chose to never here one band ever again, Third Eye Blind would definitely be it.
However, I know many others are nostalgic to this band and, hell, people may enjoy it as a harmless early day Which Stage set. I'd just have to make sure I'm far away.
no the allmans will have the 2 sets as usual no one is opening for them not derek's band or oteil's and I can tell you that Dickey Betts will definitely NOT play with them at any hows as of right now

sangreal.... everyone has there opinion...but really???? dont care for the dead phish or widespread??? thats just craziness....was metalica ur highlight last year?

i watched wsp in 05. it was ok, but most of my time was spent in puzzlement of why everyone was so into it/dancing so much. i love to dance, but they were not moving me to do it. maybe because i was the only one not on something? i have never seen the dead or phish. i would watch them one night just like i did with wsp. but my main beef is with them playing 2 nights, taking up the headliner spot. and i commented here because all of them at one festival would be enough to keep me from going. i didn't get to go last year, so no metallica wasn't my highlight. my highlight probably would have been pearl jam.
i'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet (not going to go through all the pages) but i'm thinking that Ben Harper's new band Relentless 7 could be a possibility. He seems to be playing every other year or so...

Im all fairness PJ Metallica and Kanye kept a lot of other people away last year, you cant make everyone happy all the time. I still say if you are going to 'roo based on the headliners you are miissing the point.

but i think if phish and the dead were each there as a headliner then phish another night as a latenight it would be perfect....i just hope if thats the case they get someone other then springsteen for another headliner
There's some serious evidence pointing towards the raconteurs playing.
The fact that they are the first band on the Bonnaroo 365 which is a pretty big deal. Theyre giving everyone a chance to seem them in top form (and some crispy audio) especially those who saw Les Claypool instead. The first band on the 365 is gonna get some serious exposure so you would think theyd use it for somebody theyre bringing back.
Theyre also, the first track on the DVD, which in general is the track people see most. The order/line up of that thing is no accident. Again, it would make sense to lead with a band that's coming back.
Speaking of the DVD, anyone consider the Line-up will be on the DVD? You pop it in and the lineup play across the screen. That woud be sweet.

You may have a point. I wouldn't see WSP unless I was on something. They don't do it for me otherwise. The Dead and Phish though? They're great. You should check them out.

i don't go based on the headliners. but it would suck to go if you don't like any of the headliners and there is nothing else going on during that time. we could use it as a time to rest i guess. my wife would welcome that. but usually at roo,, i'm like, rest? what is that?

i would check them out. i just hope both are not there the same year. i actually watched bob weir in 05 as well.
I just looked up some Franz Ferdinand shows on youtube and they look like a good time. Granted they're all from Europe where FF is a lot bigger, they still look like they bring energy.
