Someone on the Bonnaroo board said according to someone from AC that Jay-Z is the third headliner. Anyone can say they know someone, but we can refer back to this after the lineup is announced.
I'm not sure if Bonnaroo is ready to take that leap to get a Hip Hop headliner.
Well, Kanye was a setback, but if AC/Superfly caught wind of his performance at Glastonbury, it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him headline. If they have Phish and Bruce he would less of risk to have on the bill, but a nice risk to take.

keep in mind that Jay-Z has history with Phish and would be able to do his show possibly before a phish late-night set. Have Jay rapping for 2 hours and then bring out phish so they collab on a few songs.........then Jay leaves and Phish jam for 4 hours

Jay and Ms Badu are friends and if she is confirmed than I think the odds of having Jay are a bit better... plus he always tries to 1 up Kanye so I could see him pulling that with Bonnaroo

As long as we have a good undercard im cool, not super thrilled with the headliners but im happy for the origional Roo'ers who want things the way they used to be

I agree with this. If they have Phish and Bruce. The third headliner could a way out of the box pick. I'm still not convinced though, that Phish won't occupy two of the headliner spots. I guess we will know soon.
I swear...seeing David Byrne's name so often in these "rumors" threads is killing me. 'Cause I don't wanna get my hopes up, but fuck me if he's there I will be infinitely happier that I already got my ticket.

after catching some eliot lipp tonight in lexvegas, I'm definitly thinking he's due for a stop there. Should have asked him if he was playing this year!! d'oh
I dont know how long he could hold it down for, maybe pre sts9 or fit in a slot right before some deadmau5..

BamaJam is the weekend before Roo down in my neck of the woods - southern Alabama. I bought a day pass for Saturday last year. Lots of the bands playing that Rock/Alternative stage that day were at Roo. The lineup is really centered on country, but the stage I hung out at last year was:
The Wood Brothers (played Roo) Marc Broussard Railroad Earth (played Roo) Yonder Mountain String Band (played Roo) Gov't Mule
Bands lined up this year so far include Black Crowes, Los Lonely Boys, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, JJ Grey and Mofro, Shooter Jennings and The Whigs. I think it's likely some of these will be at Roo 09. I don't think we'll be seeing Brooks & Dunn.
Haha, everyone is watching me now. Sorry it's taken me a while but I've been doing some Algebra I'm still waiting for some final info to come in. I'll drop you guys another line once the weekend comes.

I will be ecstatic if Los Lonely Boys play Roo this year. I saw them open for Santana and they put on an AMAZING show.
