anyone know if this will sell out anytime soon?
doubtful.
Yeah, I could see the tickets jumping up to the next price bracket fairly soon, but I don't see it selling out for at least a few months.

Oh man. The Roo lineup might make me forfeit all reason and not go to Wakarusa. I'm having serious second thoughts considering that all of the bands that have been on heavy rotation on my MP3 player were in the initial lineup. I could technically go to both, but I really don't want to.
I have a message into my Roo companion from last year. I don't think I'm adult enough to make this decision for myself, so I'm going to take her lead.
I can't really go to both because of work. It's a really inconvenient time for me to be gone even though I NEVER take time off. I have considered both. I'm still considering both, but I don't even know if I could afford both. It looks like I might be going to Roo. I may go to Waka on Friday afternoon instead of on Thursday or something. The good news is that this is the most difficult decision going on in my life right now. lol
Haha that is good news. Honestly I really can't afford to go to both either but I'm sacrificing doing anything this spring to save up some money so I can survive the adventure. I put in the request for the time off but haven't really heard anything back, I really hope it went through or i'll be job searching come June. Oh well, it's all worth it!
Waka ticket price break this weekend! From the email: Price Break This Week!
The move to our new location in Arkansas has been received very, very well. We have now sold out of our original allotment of "early bird" priced Full Event Passes. As our special thanks, we've decided to increase the allotment of tickets and extend the sale of "early bird" Full Event Passes until Friday at 11:59 pm CST. Don't miss this opportunity to pocket some cash!

I think this is purely just an effort to sell more tickets right now before tickets to Roo go on sale. As awesome as the lineup to bonnaroo is, they're probably hoping that keeping ticket prices down will encourage some people to opt for Waka instead. The festivals are back to back weekends so they're probably assuming that most people will go to just one of them.
The buzz about Wakarusa is everywhere. I have no worries about Waka getting cancelled.

I would actually get your tickets as quickly as possible. Not saying they are going to sell out, but there might just be some "bombs" about to be dropped on the Wakarusa line-up......

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully people will purchase their tickets soon.
More bomb's would be cool. I'm already really liking the lineup. Just hope that too much is not scheduled for Thursday. Not sure when I'll get there from Colorado. Can't leave until Wednesday after work. Drive for a few hours, catch some sleep, drive to Waka.

OK everyone
I have some huge news coming and we will just have to wait because believe me I want to let the cat out of the bag right now.. Long story short I am very very pleased to be producing a stage a this years wakarusa and even if we had no more announcements our stage would still be on point with all the great acts announced... But that's not even close to the BOMBS were about to set off.
Long story short, get your tickets now, Take your vacation for June 4-6 and be ready for the best Wakarusa of your life. I know you all expect big things from Waka now i want to set something new in motion and expect big things from YOU.
All of you that read this board are the staple of wakarusa and only you can make a festival great. This is our festival and we need to BRING IT this year and i want to encourage all of you to keep these things in mind.
Leave No Trace.
Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them.
Put your trash in our backpack or pocket until you get back to your camp, if you smoke bring a tin (Altoids work the best)
Radical Inclusion Anyone may be a part of Wakarusa. We welcome and respect the stranger. No prerequisites exist for participation in our community.
Civic Responsibility We value civil society. Community members who organize events should assume responsibility for public welfare and endeavor to communicate civic responsibilities to participants. They must also assume responsibility for conducting events in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Participation
We achieve being through doing. Everyone is invited to work. Everyone is invited to play. We make the world real through actions that open the heart.
