Anyone wanna be my Waka buddy? No one I know wants to go with me. :[
If I had the $$$ I would even scoop you up on the way there (since we're both from North Alabama ) Unfortunately just making it to 'Roo is a stretch this year.

Can I just state that I cannot wait to graduate?!
You go to UNA? :] I wish someone either had the money, or the will to go. Everyone I know is just fine with just Bonnaroo-- and not for money, just because they're lame.

Handgunhips,
Glad to see you that you're planning on going.
I'll be there in the main stage camping area and you are welcome to stop by, join us, whatever. It'll be me and my 17 year old. We'll be the one(s) with a tent on top of our vehicle from Colorado.
handgun ... I think you have found a Waka buddy but if all else fails you are more than welcome to camp next to the wife and I. I have a feeling I will need a buddy for late night action. She has a problem staying up after 12.

They will need some more additions to get me to go, but I wont rule it out. Rothbury is more of a focus for me though, and i highly doubt I will make the 30 hour drive to Burning man this year. Waka is only a 5.5 hour drive and the venue seems cool which is a definite plus. I am leaving it open.
My neighbors at Roo did both festivals last year and said they had a blast. And I do regret not meeting up with you at roo last year Zoie.
I live about 45-60 minutes away and know of at least 10-20 people that will be headed that way, if not a ton more.
In my personal opinion it's looking to be the most exciting festival out there so far. And even if it isn't your cup of tea, just shell out an extra 29 bucks and do an extended stay and head to Bonnaroo right after.
The property is amazing, imagine being in a clearing on top of a beautiful mountain with the clouds soaring fast right above your head. Not to mention the huge announcements that are promised.
Handgunships don't hesitate to head out to Wakarusa, there will be tons of people to make you feel right at home.
If anybody needs any help getting there or just looking for a good time with some good people, message me, I'd be more than glad to give my two-cents.

My husband and I are going to be heading out from Paragould, AR. I think we're about 4 hours from the venue. We are rocking the primative camping. After Waka we'll leave Wednesday for Roo.

I'm really really excited about this.
What do you mean by the extended stay? They let you keep camping on the grounds? That would be pretty crazy, I was planning on staying with family in Little Rock until Wednesday but hanging with Wakaroosters sounds like fun too!
Can't wait till the announcement tomorrow Scott!
Edit: I also noticed on the Waka boards that people know where their campsite is. Is this because they got VIP, Mainstage, or RV? Because I got primitive and it doesn't say anything specific in my confirmation email.

Are you going to Roo this year? We'll meet up then. If not, I'm so going to Rothbury! PM me. :]
So when I saw the Roo lineup this year I decided that I couldn't attend waka even though its in my home state because I couldn't miss Phish. Last week I bought my girlfriend and I tickets to Roo and I've been kind of down because so many people we know are going to waka it has such a good lineup as well....and today I couldn't take it anymore. Got to tickets and will be makin out Waka and then Roo a week later.........June is gonna be a good month.
