^ I completely forgot to share that. I signed up for that with Roo in mind. Although the ear plugs I was given last year, I couldnt figure out how to use, haha.
Any advice on e-z ups? What kind to get, where to get one at, should I just get a cheap one or spend some cash on one? I will be going solo most likely so do I even need one or can I just make friends with someone near by and share with them? Anything would help. Also a place to get a decent cooler.
Also, I just saw that Amazon is having an all Patio & Garden theme on their Lightning deals today. There were a couple items on there that might interest some people. One of them which is going on sale from 12-3pm EST is this portable gas grill:
Anyone know if those chairs are too tall to take to Centeroo? I think the rule is that the seat can't be more than 12" off the ground...that said, these seem like they'd fit the bill:
Ok so maybe it is just me but I would think carrying a chair around would become burdensome real quick and it would be easier to just carry a blanket or sheet around in a bag or just sit in the grass. How beneficial is a chair and having to carry it around?

Hope my first post is some help! I'm definitely going to check out the chairs tonight to see what the discount ends up being.
Just ordered my e-z up and going to pick it up after work. I was going to wait but my tax refund is coming in on fri and I am getting to excited to wait.

It's empty in the valley of your heart, the sun it rises slowly as you walk away from all the fears and faults you've left behind.
I need freedom now, and I need to know how to live my life as it's meant to be. I will hold on hope, and I won't let you choke on the noose around your neck. I'll find strength in pain and I will change my ways - I'll know my name as it's called again.
I was thinking the same thing but then I decided it would be easier to not have to deal with it. Once I get to the farm I just want to be able to relax and have as little worries as possible

I just bought the EZ Up from sears. Thank you so much for the link jmellens. great first post. I've been needing one of these for a few years but just never got one. $60 is a great price.
No problem! I'm kind of an obsessive planner/deal finder and this will be my first roo. I'm sure I'll be posting any more good deals I find in this thread. I don't have a tent and I could still use a folding chair or two so I've got my eye on those items at the moment.
jmellens, try out www.eurekacampingctr.com for tents. They're the Eureka outlet and I've gotten two tents from there at half price. Better quality tent than a Coleman or something you'll find at Target/Walmart.
nice! i just tried searchin on ebay to see if itd be the same/cheaper and all i found was a $40 1 on there. double the price! and buy.com gives free shipping on it too!
one of my corners broke on my shade tent last year and i was able to "easy up" it from the next door van. they had also put a tarp on back of their van and then out to a post tied to the end of the tarp and to the ground. i dont think you could put on from a car because i think the post would fall but i fyou have a truck or a van thats somewhat taller than a car then you can hook them on using two posts and lots of rope and bungey cord.
if you a regular truck i would think that you could put posts in the holes on the bed and run the tarp from that to two more poles on the ground.
i cant figure how you would tie one to a car. anybody? it would be too low unless you figured out how to attach some poles to it
my best advice is to bring TONS of cord, rope, ties ons, and stakes and ask for some help once everyone else gets theirs up. you may find that you can tie onto someone elses truck or tent. once ppeople have their stuff up they dont mind you tieing on as long as yours is good and sturdy. i know i wouldnt mind it. last year someone tied onto my little tent and it actually provided additional stability for that side of the little tent so it was all good to me.
i think the cheap water fans are a good idea since you bought three. my friend bought me a cheap fan (about 10 inches wide) one year and it worked for about five seconds (really im not kidding) before it died. hahaha it was really funny. his worked great however - he still uses it. if you bought three of them i think you are good to go. if i were you i would bring a little lemon to put in there. that would be heaven mixed with some ice water. im a chick and i like a little mineral water on my face - freshens the skin. i use spray mineral water year round becuase it wakes my skin up and doesnt disturb my makeup.
www.6pm.com has Sanuks on clearance. Very limited selection of styles and sizes, but because I have a big foot, I can score 2 pairs for the price of one! ;D
