Does it really carry lots of stuff? I keep looking at camelbacks but I havent pulled the trigger cause they all look like just enough room for the water container and a schedule lol. I need something that will hold some poop.
Yep, lots of room. I had two rolled up towels in mine, plus bags of TP, snacks, camera, sunscreen.. etc.
Was at Walmart today picking up a few things and saw Medicated Body Powder (and the foot variety) for $0.88!! It was in a little section of off-brand items near the meds and foot care items. Same ingredients as Gold Bond but less than a quarter of the price. Got 4 bottles; two of each kind. You can never have too much!
I've wanted to do the camelbak but I've never understood how it doesn't make you even hotter? Can someone explain? To me the idea of nylon in the sun just makes me sweat sitting here.

It's never bothered me. I mean, you're alreay hot and sweating anyway, right?
I can't do a camelback either. Or backpacks, hats or any type of tennis shoe. They all make me hotter and so uncomfortable. I can't stand my body to be covered any more than it has to be in that kind of heat. I just use a tiny purse type bag I wear across my body for the necessities and just carry a giant frozen bottle of water. When that runs out I just buy what I need. It's a small price to pay for me being more comfortable and not being saddled down with something on my back all day.
The only time it bothered me was when my shoulders got sunburned on Sunday. Then I had to put a bandana on my shoulders so the straps didn't rub. But It didn't make me any hotter. I can't even begin to tell you how helpful it was to have cold water, plus a place to carry all my stuff.
Does anyone have tips on where to score bulk Gatorade?
Might just be me, I know a few people who don't like it, but I really like the Gatorade powder you just add to water. It's only a few bucks and last quite a while. Same aisle as gatorade at wal-mart if i'm not mistaken.
Camelbaks are great, here's some perks for me... 1. Can be used as a pillow! 2. Throw some ice in, and it's not just water, it's COLD water, big difference. 3. Keep things safely in zipper compartments, not in my pockets where they can fall out... 4. I smoke cigarettes, so I typically have a spot to put my butts so I don't litter! 5. My hands are free to not hold things all day!
Also thanks for that camelbak link, I have a buddy looking for one, and that seems like a great price!
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
Thanks, I've always had the feeling that Costco was pretty average as far as canned cheap domestic beer (never priced Gatorade). Am I being crazy?
To be honest, I don't remember what I paid for Gatorade last year. I ended up buying their Kirkland brand and it wasn't bad. I froze the whole case, so they were cold all weekend. I'd drink one every morning on my walk to Centeroo. I'm not sure on the beer, either. I've only been in the booze section once. God, am I wasting my membership or what?
I have to agree with coconut water! They actually use the water from young coconuts as IV drip in developing countries, because it's sterile while it's still in the coconut and full of delicious nutrients and electrolytes. It almost tastes like very mild cantaloupe juice. I like it without the pulp with a big splash of selzter!

They were giving out free samples last year and I had brought some of my own. I'm looking for it to go on sale again this year and I'm going to pack a bunch.
Which brand do you like? I tried some but it was too salty for me.
I bet if you cut it with water it would be more palatable and still help keep your electrolytes balanced I like the ONE brand, but I cut it.
They should have one of those stands like they do in Jamaica where they have big piles of young coconuts and the guy takes a huge machete, lops off the top, and sticks in a little straw with a paper umbrella. Imagine lounging in the shade with a big ass coconut ;D

It shouldn't be salty it actually has a lower sodium count than gatorade. Try a few different brands. Vito is good and you can always put lime or strawberries in it too.
