Okay great, glad OT holds up. Yeah that's true, the more windows the better. The convenience of the instant is the only reason it's in the conversation
It's a two pole tent which shouldn't be that hard to put up. With everyone, I always recommend people set up their tent once before they get to Roo as practice can really help especially if you are coming in overnight and will be setting up in the dark.

while you have it set up, spend a few extra dollars and grab a can of camp dry, scotchguard, or similar water repellant and seal those seams! won't take more than $10 or 10 min, but can make a HUGE difference if it rains, and it's too late then.
Walmart also sells a 9x7 Coleman tent for about $50, right in between the OTs you are looking at. I have one and have used it for about 10-12 nights, and it has held up so far. Goes up quick and easy, and I can recommend it as another possibility if you don't do a ton of camping and don't need something ultra light weight for backpacking. Just don't expect to really sleep 4 in a "4-person" tent, of course. Rated capacity should be considered for emergencies only.

Just got home from my Dollar Tree $85 (ooops) shopping trip. Those of you looking for mini personal fans, they have some that are surprisingly good. I'll post pictures of the size and maybe figure out how to make a gif of them blowing (lolthat'swhatshesaid) if enough people care.

Picked up two of these Cots @ SAMs today for $65 each. Haven't slept in it yet, but it's pretty comfortable to lay on. REI has a similar looking cot for $149.
Sorry to say I am going to have to sell my Bonnaroo ticket for this upcoming summer. Im listing the ticket on tickpick.com. PM or email me at ajump08@vt.edu for more info.

Good list. Sounds like you covered most of the bases; set it up at your home base and bbq for a day - bring the tv outside and chill like you would at the campgrounds. Your question will answer itself.

For anyone who is into free cycling, helping save the planet and saving money, both Freecycle and craigslist may have FREE items you need for Roo. Check "all for sale" on craigslist & drops own box for free items. I won't increase my carbon footprint too much & contribute to gas/carnon emissions pollution driving all over, but often the freebies are very close by! Last night I picked up free sandbags, concrete blocks to anchor down my tent canopy. I've also picked up some camping kitchen-ware, sheets to tie-dye, bucket for hauling shower & dishwashing water, etc.
On craigslist sales, I've bought nice cots, sleeping pad, a small charcoal grill, auto luggage/cargo rack, new Camelbak Magic (still in packaging with tag $20), several Coleman & Igloo coolers (one large wheeled Coleman 75 quart extreme-5 day for $30, used twice; an Igloo medium wheeled + 2 older Coleman's (1 large, 1 small) for $15.
Just an idea for the college students, anyone on a budget, etc!

nice Misting info... I just made a drunk amazon one click buy
I got it in the mail today! I just finished testing it out. It works even better than I expected. Just pump it 10-15 times and it mists you with the whole rest of the bottle if you want. It's not like a 90s Super Soaker where you have to keep pumping constantly. definitely bringing it to Roo. thanks custeph
I have 10 of these ill be giving away Thursday of.
Walmart has a whole fan aisle this time of year. They have portable battery powered fans that are amazing for helping you sleep in once the sun comes up. In that aisle, they have an 8" 02 Cool fan for $16. If you go over to the camping section instead, you can get a 10" Ozark Trail fan (that is actually the same 02 Cool brand, says so right on it) for $15. They both take 8 D batteries and both have 2 speeds. I believe the 8" comes with an ac adapter and the 10" does not, if that matters to you. Anyway, you want one. Get it.
Any Roo vets use a privacy tent for showers, changing clothes and/or for a camp toilet? If so, recommendations on a decent one at a good price. And does the shower bag hang without falling in there?
