Any Roo vets use a privacy tent for showers, changing clothes and/or for a camp toilet? If so, recommendations on a decent one at a good price. And does the shower bag hang without falling in there?
If you don't use this, other suggestions? Thanks.
there's no such thing as indecent exposure at bonnaroo.
True! But I'm an older mouse, prefer a bit more self modesty this chapter of my life but no modesty is fine by me. I have a few Roo vet cousins & friends and heard a few entertaining lack of modesty tales. Whatever trips ones trigger, I don't judge, lol.

Dollar Tree has $1 "cooling sport towels" that are the same concept (except smaller) as FroggTogg Chilly Pads. I actually like the smaller size as it'll take up way less room in my centeroo backpack!
It's fairly heavy , but the frame is quite sturdy. I used it last year and it went fine (6' 1-ish; 170 lbs.). Sleeps fine and sets up in 30 seconds. Only complaint is that as i continued to use it over the summer, the horizontal (as you lay on it) seam where the majority of one's heft rests started to pull apart; I live near where I got it last year, so maybe I'll check into getting it fixed / replaced. Good price at $40; I would recommend practicing 'hammock skills' before you go.
I saw this the other day, as I was looking for a portable hammock. Can't bring the one I have, cause I don't have a stand.. This is perfect. Ordering it Thurs when I get paid. No clue as to how I'm going to pack all this shiz in the back of my Xterra. I'm bringing way more stuff this year than I have in the past. Not to mention the other 2 people's luggage that's riding with me.
I have one of these hammocks and used it last weekend. I kept nearly falling out of it all the time. I'm really wanting an eno!
It does have a really narrow 'keel'; I found it best to situate yourself a little diagonally rather than ride that beam. I pulled off sleeping on my side; that seemed better.
Also, as it is so easy to put away, I would each morning / afternoon/ wheneverthehellyougetup. Just to avoid those that desire to pull a flying belly flop onto it. The frame is sturdy, but not that sturdy. Plus, it is like nine feet long when set up.
Turns out I need to replace my tent fan because this is cheaply made and fell apart and won't go back together. Any recommendations?
i got the ozark trail battery operated fan from walmart. i have 2 of them that have lasted me 3 years now, and bought a 3rd last year. they're $15 and decently powerful. only sucky thing is they take like 8 D batteries, but those will last an entire weekend and more.
I need to get a new pop-up Canopy - What are some of the best dealz??
academy.com, they have $50 10x10 and $80 12x12 ones. AND they come in assorted colors. I have a hot pink one
Ya know, I forgot all about Academy! I was looking at this one at Walmart www.walmart.com/ip/22301934 but it's $100 EDIT: Holy Shiz! The price dropped down to $79! It's mine!

Indeed, I'm thinking I can put my car keys there or something so I don't lose them. My biggest fear is losing my car keys or locking them inside my car when I'm at Roo. I'm bringing two extra sets.. giving one to my friend's wife (cause she's responsible) and I'm hiding another somewhere else lol Monie

I wouldn't leave your car keys out in the open like that. If the pockets weren't mesh id say go for it, but if the wrong person saw your car keys chillen unattended you may not have a car......

I used the same one for Roo last year but bought it from Amazon. It works. I don't find it too be too comfortable but it beats sleeping on the ground. My thinking was that I'd buy a cot this year but I already have the hammock and not a lot of extra cash, so it will probably come with me again. And yes, one or two of the seams are coming apart, and there are very few hours/nights on it. You can use a more traditional style of hammock with the stand if you are creative about hanging it. This is a little more comfortable for me, though the short span means it has to be strung pretty tight and it really hugs you. The stand should last a very long time but the included hammock likely will not.

I have a 10" (I think) O2 that I have been quite happy with. Lots of stores sell O2 and Walmart used to. However the Ozark Trail lookalike fan that Walmart sells is just a rebranded O2, and is probably cheaper there than most places. Buying 8 D batteries is kind of a bummer, but I only used mine for Roo and got two fests out of the same set. Now I have a cord rigged up so I can run it off of a 12V power pack, though you'd have to run it constantly to wear out a set of batteries in a week. These fans move way more air than most tent fans, and I will always take it any time I go camping in hot weather.

Academy has dropped their 12x12 canopies to $70. Speaking of, is 12x12 too big? I'm thinking of just doing a canopy and cot setup with no tent this year, I'm just a little worried it would be too wide. Has anybody used a 12x12 with no issues?

ahh you got nothin to worry about. Just when you get there - keep the canopy on top of everything else.. so when you arrive, pop the trunk, grab it, and set it up first to claim your space.

You now have a job: set this thing up as soon as you get it and report back to Inforoo! This job does not pay money, but we will thank you, and share goodies at Bonnaroo. I love my E-Z Up because it seems pretty sturdy and goes up E-Z, but this one looks interesting and gets good reviews even though it does not pop up and looks to be constructed more like a tent.

I've had my eye on this canopy for a month, but wasn't sure about dropping $100 bones on it, and the price dropped apparently. I'll set it up and let you all know! But the website has (or had - I haven't checked) a video. It supposedly sets up in like 1 minute.. I watched the video, and it's super easy/fast. F me, I quit America

Cool, that's kinda what I figured, thanks for the reassurance. Looks like I'll go ahead and mark one more thing off the checklist.

By the way, you should come to Inforoo brunch, especially if your handle is accurate, baconbringer.

I used one last year. I just finagled with my neighbors; the ones to the west were more than happy to give me room for the guylines in exchange for the shade. Follow earlier advice and have your canopy packed to be the first thing out.
Get the big stakes. Serious. Rubber mallets cost $5.
Edit: quoted wrong person. Oops. Moving on to Drunken Rambling Thread, don't mind me.
