I think EZ Up brand is good too, but not always the cheapest, and some people are tight on money. I also think regardless which brand, it can break with strong winds. It's somewhat luck, and somewhat being prepared. Use guylines and stake the corners. Lower the canopy when gone or a storm coming, and some people even take the canopy top off altogether to let the wind go through easily.
We used to have a 12'x12' EZ Up brand. It broke in wind at a beach after multiple uses elsewhere, including Roo. I also have a First Up brand and another 10'x10' EZ Up that are holding up so far. Just take good care of it and hopefully luck will be in your favor as well.
Brought these things everywhere. My brother had the regular Flask2Go ones already, that we've used on camping trips and tailgates. My girlfriends and I bought a couple of the Wine ones before Sasquatch this year. They rocked! Filled 'em with wine, margaritas, cran/vodka and could just toss them in the cooler. And it really did hold a whole bottle. or a fifth of sweet tea vodka, yum!
^^^ I own this and would highly recommend AGAINST bringing this to Bonnaroo. It is too big!! It will take up 3/4 of your area. Other than that it is a great tent!

Depends on where/how you camp. If you have multiple vehicles or are in groop camping it may be worth it. But I agree for general use (drive up with one car) it'd be too much.
Agreed. I often bring a similar big 1 that I share with friends but also have friends cars next to me so we have some flexibility on how much room we take up. Also, isn't horrible to have the option for regular camping trips as well. The special was for yesterday though. $122ish now.

That I will agree with, you could get away with it depending on your location and group size. But for your standard Bonnaroo space, no way.. We had just enough room to BARELY put our coolers and two chairs between my tiny Hyundai and castle sized tent the year I brought it. And our drinks had to sit on the hood of the car. Luckily we met some fantastic neighbors and had some space to hang out in since we had basically zero left at our spot!!
I have that exact model and brought it to Roo. It was our first time there so we were a bit lost. However, we totally lucked out due to neighbours parking their car but stayed at friends place down the way. Great tent if u bring at least 2 cars
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

When I raced cars in the 90s we used EZ Ups when they had no cheap competitors, and a ten by ten was almost $500. Very well made compared to the $50 units.
However, wind wrecks canopies, period, no matter what brand they are. I've seen expensive canopies lifted 30 feet in the air in a thunderstorm, landing on people and cars and RVs and inflicting damage. You just can't leave them unattended if there is going to be wind. My wife and I chuckle when people set these up on the beach at the outer banks, because it's only a matter of time, and we never sit downwind from one.
So I leave my EZ up at home for Roo, and take the cheapest POS I can find, and consider that it may or may not make it home. We also take it down when we head to centeroo.
Ps Ellie I lived in Herndon for 15 years but escaped to Cville...

Discounted solar chargers from EnerPlex. Use the coupon code SOLARPOWER2014. I use their Kickr IV at all the music festivals I go to and it is a lifesaver. Everyone is always asking to borrow it.
This is the tent I've used the past two years. I totally recommend it, it's big, but not so big that it takes up more space than you're given behind your car.

I just tried to add links to the 70oz and 50oz packs, but the site would not load. Hopefully the ad was not in error. I ordered the 70oz pack and my order was approved. We'll see.
