Anyone looking for E-Z up canopies should check out Pep Boys website. $60.00 for a 10x10 that I recently purchased for myself. Shipment arrived in four days and upon my first dry run realized the great quality of the product. Pep Boys also has a 30% off coupon with the code THIRTYALL at checkout going through Saturday.
If you're not opposed to spending a bit more money on a higher-end canopy, Amazon is currently selling a 10' x 10' Coleman Instant Canopy w/ LED Lighting for $129 and free shipping. Considering that the regular Amazon list price is $210, this is a fantastic deal. I'm definitely going to purchase one for festivals and other outdoor activities.

What are everyone's thoughts on flagpoles? Last year I had a spare tent pole that I taped to the side mirror on my car and hung something from, but I'm thinking I should invest in something a little more legitimate this year..

Does anyone know if they will allow you to carry a helium balloon through the gates? I was thinking of this as a super cheap way to mark my car - get one of those crazy ballons from walmart -- a whale or something and attach it to my car.

WHAT IS ALLOWED INTO CENTEROO / MAIN VENUE
Water bottles or Camelbaks containing water only (non-glass containers only)
Non-framed backpacks and bags (subject to inspection at venue gates)
Low-seated concert chairs (i.e., sitting less than a foot off the ground)
Blankets
Camera WITHOUT a detachable lens (detachable lenses shorter than 2 inches are OK)
Totems (Must be no taller than 6 feet, and no thicker than 1/2 inch. Must be made of light material: swim noodles, foam type material, cardboard tubes, fabric, paint, string, yarn, light plastic, balloons and/or blow up items. Totems made of wood, metal and/or PVC material will NOT be allowed. This includes flag poles and heavy sticks.)
I would think since you're allowed to bring them into Centeroo, camping's a go as well.

we did this two years ago, it works for a bit but the helium drains quite quickly while it's blowing around in the air. we ended up going through our tank in like a day or two and it didn't last the whole weekend, just fyi :-)

Good 3 person Coleman tent under $50.00 from Target. Free shipping as well.
I have a larger version of this tent and it worked fabulously last year. I can't imagine only having a 3-person (even though I only travel with one other person) simply because we have so much shit, haha. We were limited in space in our (I believe) 6 to 8-person tent. Lol.

Ended up bungee cording it to the EZ-up and it held two standard sized flags up all weekend, but not as high and noticeably as I'd have liked. Would welcome tips myself.

sorry this post won't really help more of a comment of my set up. i get a golf ball retriever which is about 15' i think. end up clamping it to the top corner of the ez up along with some zip ties. we were camped in the trees so it really had no use for us last year. everybody near us at tomorrowworld loved it though. def helped locate camp
I bought this in a 4 person coleman tent for $54, now the 6 person is only $43...seems like good price! I'm beyond my return period or I'd be exchanging!

we let out quite a bit of string and it flew about a row over from ours but was really cool to see it fly up on the first day. best way to locate your tent and/or rv is by flags at the end of your rows i've found
Don't mylar balloons hold helium for a long time? I want a big zeppelin over my camp site (as long as it's not the Hindenberg...)
Q2. How long will my balloons last in the HOT Malaysian sun? A. Latex Balloons with Helium will only last 3-4 hours in the hot sun. This is because the higher temperature seems to increase rate of escape of the helium. Foil Balloons are not designed to last in the hot sun. This is because Foil balloons have a fixed volume – they will NOT stretch like latex- when heated directly by the sun, the gases in them will expand and cause a sizable tear in the foil material.

If if you get the balloons made of mvlar ($5), you will be able to make it through the weekend. The cheap pre filled ones at grocery stores and the dollar stores do great for a short time before leaking. Latex ones are the same way.
My friend bought one at Wal-Mart at the exit right before the farm. It was really sturdy. He's a big guy and it didn't stretch out or sink in all weekend.
Thanks but I've already purchased this one as mentioned above, and I'm pretty pumped!
I'll be sure to post my review on here when it arrives in about a week in case anyone else is interested.
I got my cot, and I have to say it is a thing of beauty. Sits about a foot or so off the ground, extremely sturdy, and comfortable enough to sleep without a mattress pad (although I'll probably still get a thin one).
It does require a bit of strength just to get it to pop open for the very first time, but after that I closed it back up and re-opened it a few times with ease.
Extremely easy to set up; you literally pull it out of the carrying bag, set it on the ground, pull each end and it telescopes open. Then it's just a matter of getting each end fully expanded by pulling a little more. After that just flip it right side up and you're set. Grand total of about 1:15 on my first set-up.
Also, it came with a coupon for 30% off on my next 3 orders over $100, so if you're planning on making a bunch of purchases I'd recommend buying just this first and then waiting for your coupon.
If anyone wants pictures let me know and I'll post them tonight.

Good to hear. I'm thinking of picking up a similar ALPS cot, the ALPS Escalade XL. Normally $150, but on sale for $80. It's 87" long and 35" wide, which is perfect for me.
I like the fact that there aren't bars at the head or foot of the cot.
Not final I'm getting it, but it's in serious contention.

Nice! Yeah, the exclusion of bars at the head and foot is seriously clutch. Very much looking forward to getting my canopy this week or next so I can get the whole sleeping area set up once.
