@ozzyozwold let us know how it works out!
We picked up a Coleman 8-person for camping with our kids at Goose in Thornville and it was a great tent, but much bigger than we need for the two of us at Roo.
If anybody has leads on a compact option they like that will fit two cots, we’d appreciate it! We’d rather use the bulk of our campsite space for communal hangs. Should have at least one other car with us, and perhaps we’ll end up with a spacious lot since we’re showing up Friday morning and will be flung the eff out there.
Does anyone have recommendations for a good earplug that protects your hearing while also letting you hear the music properly?
I've destroyed my hearing enough, I think. Trying to avoid that this time around.
Eargasm seems to be the most recommended, though I got some some years back and I couldn't get them to fit right in my ears, even the bigger size. Maybe I just have big ear canals. I'm going to try them out again though or look to get some new ones, because I do think they're important, and by most accounts people say the music sounds at least as good if not better.

for years I just rocked a $12 one from Walmart and it worked fine until the seal went out
that’ll work. I figure I either want something very cheap that will get through the weekend or something nice that I can keep for awhile.
Do you recall what brand? Thanks.
it's just the cheap one they have in the camping section, make sure it's got a pump with it. It'll be a hand pump instead of electric, but only takes like two minutes and gives you a nice workout lol. Might need to pump a couple times each night but it shouldn't be too bad

Honestly, on the air mattress, I would splurge a little. The cheaper ones give you less support and, in my experience, don't last very long. A raised one will give your tired body much more comfort. Be sure you have a way to blow it up (lighter adapter or portable generator is easiest).

thanks. I’m willing to splurge a bit for something that is worthwhile. Any specific recommendations?

Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

I was going to opt for this Sleepingo inflatable pad for under my sleeping bag instead of buying a full air mattress. Am I making a horrible mistake?
Years ago I stopped using air mattresses and only use sleeping pads under a sleeping bag. I sleep just fine on the pads. I like how compact they are and how quick they inflate/deflate. I feel like every air mattress I ever had pops a hole after two uses and I just got frustrated with them.

Anyone have comfortable/light mask recommendations for Roo? I’m a bit worried about being too hot and uncomfortable with a mask during the day. I got some KN95s that should be fine at night
Intel makes good ones. If you use Amazon, you can find them there reasonably priced.
assuming you meant intex, I found some at dicks. Cheap enough that If they just last for Roo, they’ll more than return value. I had to buy a pump separately though.

I don't know what you mean by "splurge", but I almost pulled the trigger on a NEMO brand self-inflating sleeping pad. The Exped brand is also amazing, but just as expensive. They both sell double sizes as well.

Anybody buy a hammock recently they like that would be usable in The Grove? My brother likes to nap there and I’m thinking it could be a good Christmas gift for him.

FWIW I bought an ENO after scouring Reddit too. They have 15% off right now and I was happy to not spend money at Amazon. I’ll share how the hammock works out - it was around $90 total for the XL hammock (can fit two people) + suspension system that doesn’t harm any trees, including the discount.

The ENO are super nice and I highly recommend the investment. They partnered with Okeechobee in 2018 when we went and they had different sizes setup in the trees near the main stage. thejeremy and I climbed into a two-person one (while tripping balls) and hung out in there for awhile. I wanted to buy one at the festival but was talked out of it. So I bought one for a HUGE discount on Zulily sometime during the pandi. I hang it between our two oak trees in the backyard and it is heavenly.
