FWIW I bought an ENO after scouring Reddit too. They have 15% off right now and I was happy to not spend money at Amazon. I’ll share how the hammock works out - it was around $90 total for the XL hammock (can fit two people) + suspension system that doesn’t harm any trees, including the discount.
The ENO are super nice and I highly recommend the investment. They partnered with Okeechobee in 2018 when we went and they had different sizes setup in the trees near the main stage. thejeremy and I climbed into a two-person one (while tripping balls) and hung out in there for awhile. I wanted to buy one at the festival but was talked out of it. So I bought one for a HUGE discount on Zulily sometime during the pandi. I hang it between our two oak trees in the backyard and it is heavenly.
Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing that! I feel better about making the jump since it was a nice little investment

I did end up buying the ENO and my brother is pumped. So thank you for the rec!
Also came back to say that this bubble machine is technically on discount, although it costs more than I would like to admit spending on a bubble machine. If I knew I could bring it into centeroo for late night I would probably splurge on it:

Anyone have a cot brand they really like? I'm looking mostly for durability and compactness. I've done hammock sleep for a few fests and I'm sick of it.

I am 99% sure mine is a coleman and I love it. I bought it for Roo 2016 after not having one for 2015. Best decision ever. I have a hammock also, but that is more difficult to find a place to set it up at camp. I'll verify tonight for you. It might be a Timber Ridge now that I am looking.

I have this Coleman. I think I got it in 2015, and probably didn't pay the $80 that it is now. It has probably 50+ nights on it, and I haven't had a problem with it. Not saying it's the best thing out there but it's been fine and is a little larger than average. Before that, I tried a little portable hammock and was never comfortable because it wasn't flat. Traditional hammocks are fine for naps and lounging, but what I had just wasn't cutting it.

I grabbed the KingCamp brand off Amazon for 2018 and it does well! I'm a tall, heavier dude and it's super durable; I've used it for two Roos and for other camping trips. I don't know how compact you are looking for but when it's folded it's bigger than a camping chair but smaller than a canopy.
Yeah, but it's a slant-leg, which isn't great for combining them. If you're just setting up one, it's definitely a good option. Fuck Walmart fr tho.
Yeah, those are great for the price, and tons of people have used them at Roo. They do only give you 64 square feet of shade though, vs 100 for a straight-leg 10x10.
I love the 10x10 Coleman I bought at Target (at least it wasn't WM!) in 2019. It's very sturdy for a pop-up. They were clearing them out for like $75 recently I think, so you may find one in store.

Yeah, if you can get a Coleman for the same price or not much more, it's a waaaaayyy better buy.

I am a big fan of KingCamp in general. I have a few camping items from them.
Anyone have a recommendation for an offbrand camelbak? Just remembered I need a new one but I'm ballin on a budget
I feel like skimping on the bladder is never a good idea - I buy the shittiest bag I can find at walkmart that has a pocket for a bladder and then buy a name brand bladder from REI or whatever.

Yeah that's why I was asking instead of just buying a rando on amazon. I've always used an actual camelbak and never had an issue so I'm a lil skeptical

on the flipside of Cinci, i bought my bag from Walmart before Roo 2019 and even used the bladder in it, and it’s held up. i replaced the bladder (same brand) before my first fest back in 2021 because it had been sitting with a little moisture in it and such and was also probably just time for a switch.
mine is a little bigger because i like to tote around more stuff and be overly cautious so it was maybe $25-$35 with bladder included.
i believe it’s Ozark Trail or one of those similar brands you only see at Walmart

When looking at buying the hydration pack itself I like to keep in mind all festivals I attend, Bonnaroo isn't known for being really picky on hydration packs but other festivals are so I try to stay clear of ones advertised for outdoors (these tend to be big and have lots of pockets)
