Updated Mock:
Thursday Tent - Alberta Cross>Delta Spirit>Low Anthem>Chairlift>Portugal the Man Tent - Lovell Sisters>AA Bondy>Zac Brown>Grace Potter Tent - Midnite>People Under the Stairs>The Knux>Murs
Friday What - Snoop Dogg>David Byrne>Beastie Boys>Phish latenight Which - Yeah Yeah Yeahs>TV on the Radio>Erykah Badu>Al Green>King Sunny Ade/Femi Kuti latenight Tent - Elvis Perkins>Okkervil River>Grizzly Bear>Animal Collective>Oakenfold latenight Tent - Vieux Farka Toure>Bela Fleck & Toumani Diabate>Amadou & Mariam>Toubab Krewe>Santigold/Galactic latenight Tent - St Vincent>Tift Merritt>David Grisman>Lucinda Williams>Crystal Castles/Girl Talk latenight
I'm beginning to think that the What Stage on Friday will be Erykah Badu into David Byrne into Beasties into Phish. That would be a nice sequence. Also, maybe Snoop isn't playing Friday (as I think most have assumed including myself). I think the biggest reason for that assumption is his slot last year at Rothbury but I could see him doing Saturday or Sunday.

My thoughts exactly, although I do what to check out some tent acts first (since What State probably won't start til 3). I especially want to check out Toubab Krewe and what ever else is going on in the African music tent (I'm assuming that will be a themed tent).

I haven't read through much of this thread, so forgive me if this has been covered, but is Animal Collective confirmed for Friday, and has a time been rumored? What about them late night opposite Phish?? I know that would be rough for some people, but personally I'd love it, and I just can't see them not playing late night.

regarding the whole snoop, al green or erykah opening the what stage on friday, i just don't see that happening.
all of those acts are way too high on the bill to play at 2 or 3 pm. last year the highest ranking artist to open the what stage was stephen marley and he was #35. right now snoop is #8, al is #7 and erykah is #10.
i really think that snoop is on saturday or sunday and the three slots of al green, erykah badu and david byrne will be the final two non-late night acts on the which stage and the pre-headliner act on the what stage.
i'd look for someone who is more of a traditional bonnaroo artist who is 1/3 or half way down the line up opening up the what stage on friday. my vote right now is on bela fleck.

you may be right. could be someone that hasn't been added yet. al green's website has 5 pm listed. so he would be in the spot snoop is in now. now i have to find another place for snoop.

maybe snoop will really be on Thursday and we get our first thursday stage show?
would be a good way to kick off the weekend....put him on 8-10:30 on Which Stage. that way they arent right by the houses so the show wont be bothering those who live in the area, plus with the smaller crowd on Thurs room shouldnt be an issue.

i moved him to sat. opening what stage. moved govt. mule to which stage. and mars volta to late night tent. still no idea though. still doesn't seem right.
I thought Grizzly Bear was thursday? And as far as snoop i have always thrown the idea of thursday which stage for snoop just because of kanye last year. Bonnaroo's attempt to make it up to a crowd consisting of a lot of people at kanyes set.

more reasoning for bela to open the what stage on friday (or play early in the day). they have another show in salt lake city on saturday.
they'll be flying to this as the drive takes 25 hours.
the last flight to leave from nashville and go to salt lake city leaves at 7:10 pm on Friday night. the flight is 5+ hours so i guess they could leave early Saturday morning, but I don't see that happening. If they left Saturday morning the equipment wouldn't get to Salt Lake until 11 or noon and that's a fast turnaround for setting everything up for their show that night.

OK. I just talked to my buddy Jon in Memphis and he brought up an interesting point. He seems to think that Phish and Bruce are the only two headliners (as denoted in the announcement). This means that there will be no traditional 8:30 - 11:30 headlining set on Friday night. He thinks they will split the Beasties, NIN, and David Byrne during this time. I don't know what I think about this theory, but I wanted to get your opinions. What do you think?

nin. is playing sat. beastie boys are headlining if they don't add anyone else.

how do you know what time they will fly? you think they take commercial flights? i would guess they probably fly on a private plane. good research though, looking into flights and all.

3 hours for 3 of the top artists listed on the poster not going to happen and yes NIN is performing Saturday anyway.

i'm guessing they're on commercial flights as i don't think they have enough money to fly on a private plane. even if it is in the contract that either superfly or the next promoter covers travel, i still don't see them covering a private jet. even if they do a private plane will take longer than a commercial one to go that distance.
i'm guessing the equipment and crew goes on friday night after they load out, probably around 6 or 7 and bela and a few others fly out the next morning.
if they are playing another show the next day they have to be done with sound check by 4 or 5 pm as the show is at 7 pm and doors are at 6 pm on Saturday. Loading all the gear will take at least 4-5 hours. I'm still calling they open up the what stage on Friday unless someone else gets added.

they might play early, but i don't see them on what stage. the last 3 years stephen marley, kings of leon and alison krauss have opened the what stage. i don't believe bela is on that level.
