2009 Bonnaroo Schedule Discussion Thread

it's not too bad, i don't have any big conflicts, i'm just surprised at a lot of the shows that have late night slots, and a lot of the ones that don't.

i really expect animal collective, tmv, galactic, and gov't mule to have late night sets.

and rodrigo and gabriela on WHAT stage? seems quite too big for them.

mgmt late night will be awesome though, i wasn't sure if they would grab one or not.

decemberists/volta/of montreal/wilco. IT KILLS.

i though pretty lights was a bit big for this tent.

maybe they'll read our comments and mess with the schedule to our benefit.

Anybody else kind of disappointed with an Animal Collective day set? Seems like a completely different experience than a night show, and not in a good way.

Also, all of my favorite electronic acts are on during Phish. I'd hate to miss Crystal Castles and Pretty Lights for a 3 hour Phish set.

that's a weird slot for a super jam atleast compared to recent years.

Wow this is awesome, no important conflicts for me whatsoever.

im very much satisfied with not only how the schedule turned out, but also its swift delivery (giving us ample time to decide our individual routes) and its new formats as compared to past years. phish is, after all the speculation, the headliner on friday. there are a few acts playing during some of the headlining time slots. i really love having both a schedule in chart form and also as a map, which gives me a more realistic action plan.

i was very wary of a mars volta and wilco conflict, but this one is manageable. i will watch the first half of wilco then jet over for as good of a spot as possible for the volta. this is my only real regret. i wanted to see ben harper, but ive seen him twice. i will not miss any of Nine Inch Nails for this man. thursday should some fun smaller acts, friday is nonstop decent shows during the day and an all-out dance fest at night, saturday is back to back to back favorite bands, and sunday is sort of lame but thats ok because i leave early every year anyway for work.

now for one month of nonstop schedule planning!

and yes, thank you so much sangreal for keeping us all sane throughout these weeks in anticipation. i thought many of your guesses were very good, but who couldve seen the types of changes they had in store for us this year?

lastly, i think that there may be one last artist addition, especially for that friday late night which stage. it may be open so not to conflict with phish, but i think its for someone like the dead weather or maybe the superjam. but in years past, the superjam has been in tents. we'll see i suppose
