Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If you like Victory's "Hop Devil," give their "Hop Wallop" a shot. That stuff is no joke. Clocking in at just under 9% alcohol its probably the hoppiest beer I've ever had other then some of my own homebrews.
Thanks! I'll snag a couple bottles of it this weekend and try it out. Nothing better than trying out a new beer!

I love my ales and my IPA's but for roo it's miller lite for me. Heineken is the best beer imo that I can get in a can, but tastes much better out of a bottle. Especially with how hot it is, you want to finish each relatively quickly. Poundind heavy beer in the sun doesn't do it for me. An ice cold Miller Lite is refreshin (great taste. less filling ) I will grab a micro-brew or two in the Broo tent though.
Wondering if you guys had any suggestions I really like Hoegaarden & Flying Fish neither of which come in cans...gggrrrrr cans
Which Flying Fish do you like? They have a bunch of tasty different brews. Depending on which one you prefer I might be able to think of something comparable in a can.

i love the belgian style dubbel & octoberfish yum...
I am severely biased on this topic. If you're looking for a beer that marries quantity with economy and is light enough to drink in the heat without being too light to be actual beer, there is only one option...a Lone Star Tallboy.
Man I love beer. However, I have a little dilemma. My Roo Crew, including myself, will all be 18 at the time of Roo. We're graduating high school four days before Roo so the festival is like a graduation present to ourselves, in a way.
We would love to bring beer down with us. I am fully aware of underage transportation of alcohol laws. That is a risk I am okay taking. We're not planning on speeding, eating corn in the car, or anything so no reason for a search.
However, when we get the car search at the entrance of 'Roo can we get in trouble because we're underage? Obviously we'll have no glass. I'm assuming it will be very easy to drink at camp, I'm not worried about that. I'm just worried about the initial car search...

What do you guys think?
You should be fine if you get to Bonnaroo. If you have beer and get pulled over the cops will pick your car apart. So be careful, if you do.

Well obviously the plan is just to not get pulled over...
Even if we get pulled over for speeding or anything, if the cops don't see anything there's no reason to find the beer. I know my rights. You really think the Bonnaroo security won't make a fuss about it at the entrance? I'm just not sure if it's worth it..I need convincing, haha.

if you look young, you might be in for some trouble...but for the most part, the people searching cars are much more worried about other things than underagers w/ beers. just play it cool -- be like "See? no glass!" and you'll be fine

That's the thing...
My friend's and I don't look 14, but we certainly don't look 21 either...
What is this trouble you speak of? If it's just confiscation, I'm willing to take the risk. They couldn't, however, refuse us entry or anything like that right?

The Roo security won't care if you're underage with beer. Trust.
I second the emotion on Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. That stuff is unbelievable! Only out from about May to August so falls just around Roo time...only in bottles though...
i go for modelo especial (personally i think it's better in a can)
deeelish.
and perfect for the hot weather, with a rim of salt and lime juice. tecate's good in a can for those summer days, too- fack, it is so cold and communist weather-like in prague right now.

I doubt seriously that you'll get in any real trouble -- if they challenge your age, just be perfectly willing to loose the booze or they may call the cops over.

I love Newcastle, but "best beer" is 100% an opinion. Personally I could never choose a best beer because i just like good beer and would never want to only drink one brand or style, or two, or three....
What makes a good beer so good is that its different from the other beers, so having all different kinds of beer makes you appreciate each one that much more. I just dont think there is one best beer.
