Belive me...I KNOW the best specialty stores anywhere within a 100 mile radius for beer! No websites needed....there aren't enough of them for that The closest/best is near B'ham in a little place called Warrior AL...and unfortunately Cheeky they don't carry Magic Hat...I have to wait till ROO to get it or go to ATL.... I'm trying to convince them but I have a feeling it's that darn alcohol content issue that keeps coming up for a vote...again! There's also a decent store in So Pittsburg TN and of course all SORTS of places in Nashville and ATL...tho ATL still enfoces Blue Laws and I keep having to remember...NO alcohol sales in stores on Sunday in the ATL! We gave that up YEARS ago even in tiny little backwards Madison AL!
I will be bringing some Yuengling down. I really hope they have Magic Hat #9 this year. Trying that last year for the first time was amazing and i was hooked on it all weekend. Every time I drink it here at home I feel like I am at roo. It is def. the best tasting beer ever imho. I also just started drinking the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and I really enjoy that too. Was that at roo last year? I can't remember because I didn't buy anything but #9 I felt like an addict! hahahaha
I drank a ton of Magic Hat last year too. I don't think I saw SN Pale Ale anywhere though. If you like those beers try Stone IPA (or Ruination if you really like the hops), Anchor Brewing Liberty Ale, or Pinebelt Pale Ale if you can find it.

the DogfishHead IPA's are pretty good. I've never had the 120, but IMO, between the 90 min and the 60 min IPAs, the 60 min takes it. The 90 just has a too sweet flavor, i know its the hops, and i was fully expecting a Hop explosion in my mouth, but oh well... the 60 is cheaper and more drinkable.... i still want to try a 120 sometime!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

It's worth it to just buy one bottle of the 120 just to try it. If you like the 60 more than the 90, you'll probably also like it more than the 120. The two most prominent tastes in the 120 are 1) hops and 2) alcohol. Imagine sucking on a hop flower that's been soaking in pga.
The Stone Ruination and the DFH 120 are both 100+ IBU's. I actually think the Ruination is hoppier-not nearly as sweet, although the DFH has a higher alcohol content. The Ruination is a bit less expensive as well. Both are good.
Dogfish 90+ may be a little heavy for 90+ degree weather. 60 is awsome if its really really cold. May try to stop in De. on my way down to the farm and pick some up. Anyone ever try to drink a Bottingtons on the farm? I really am digging it this winter but am afraid it might not have the same appeal in the Tn heat.

If the 120min or even the 90min is a too much for you then buy a bottle of it and age it. The 120min can definitley last a good 2yrs. As they age the flavors and bitterness mellow out and kind of start to blend together. i had a 2 1/2yr old 120min and it was out of this world....the only problem is holding on to it and not drinking it...

It's just as good in the heat. You lose a lot of the flavor drinking it straight from the can. Pour it into a cup for the full effect!

Dogfishhead's Aprihop is UNREAL. So good. As is the Raison D'etre. DFH is such good beer, but I usually don't have 10 bucks to drop on a 4pack, so I go a little cheaper with Sam or something of the sort. Dale's Pale Ale is my jam, and I think I'll be bringing it to the farm this year. I don't drink a lot at Roo, so I might as well go with something good when I'm boozing.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

what if we like hops as overdone as possible? What if we want to have our face crushed by hops?
any ideas for that? =)
Victory Brewery's Hop Devil will be the brew for you, unfortunately I don't know if that's available too far from Philly and definitely not in a can
Anyway with the thread, I'm a Yuenguling fan all the way, and will more than likely be downing that for most of the weekend, but these stout suggestions are getting me thinking hard about picking up some Chocolate Stout or just some simple Guinness Tallboy's and having a breakfast brew.

If you like Victory's "Hop Devil," give their "Hop Wallop" a shot. That stuff is no joke. Clocking in at just under 9% alcohol its probably the hoppiest beer I've ever had other then some of my own homebrews.
