I am kind of a beer geek... and am VERY happy that there is now quality beer coming out in cans. There's a brewery in Colorado called 'Oscar Blues Brewery' that makes 'Dales Pale Ale' and other excellent canned beers. Also, in NY, there's the 'Butternuts Beer & Ale' Co., which makes great canned Hefeweizen as well as their 'Pork Slap Pale Ale'. I will be bringing some of that stuff...
i gotta third the Dale's, but i must say, i've smuggled bottles in every year. I love me some sweetwater, blue, 420, road trip, they have all made the trip to the farm. i think this year since fat tire is now distributed in TN, we'll be bringing some of that. cheers!

fat tire finally came out in cans here, but to be honest, i'm not a huge fan of it anymore. My favorite beers to bring are guinness for breakfast, grain belt premium cans (cheap local brew), and wittekierke:
Yuengling. Hands down the only beer I bring to Roo. Ill get some micros in the Brooers tent when I get there, but other than that its Yuengling all the way
1/22/2010- Mule
2/06/2010- Bob Weir & Phil Lesh
2/25- Buffet
3/18- Tea Leaf Green
4/3- Paul McCartney
4/15-Wanee Fest
6/5- James Taylor
6/10-6/13- Bonnaroo
7/28-DMB in Tampa
7/30 & 7/31- DMB in WPB
Since there are no bottles allowed my Sweetwater is out.
I was curious to see what everyone's favourite take-along brew is? (If there's already a thread for this just point me in the right direction)
Oh no, your Sweetwater isn't out, I'm sure it is more expensive than you are used to but they serve it at random brew tents throughout Centeroo! I look forward to some refreshing Sweetwater Blue each and every year!!
I have also fallen in love with Fat Tire, I live in Arizona now and moved from Michigan, so I am really missing Bells, for those of you who know what I'm talking about ;D

LoL I might lose karma for this, but I love Coors Light for camping. I know.. I know, but I never drink it any other time, and it has just been a camping tradition. Be easy on me.
Dale's has turned into my favorite beer. I took a drive up to Lyons a couple weekends ago and spent the afternoon at the Oskar Blues Brewery. The only thing better than Dale's in a can, is Dale's on tap!

We totally brough Coors Light to Bonnaroo last year It did the trick and it's not heavy like some other beers can be, which is not great during the hot day. Don't get me wrong, I really love some good, dark beer but when I had a hankerin' for something like that, I just went to the Broo'ers tent. Otherwise, I stuck to the Coors Light.

Fat Tire and Bells are two of my favorite beers on Earth!
Luckily, I can get Bells where I live now (NC) but Fat Tire is still a no go.
Last time I was in Chicago, I got off the plane, picked up my rental car and I drove straight to the Cubby Bear and had a FT Amber. Sweet delicious FT... when will you ever make it to NC?!?
And Dale's Pale Ale makes the MOST delicious beer can chicken in the world!
Drink half of the beer Throw a couple of garlic cloves and a few dashes of hot sauce in the can Shove the chicken down on the can Grill or roast in the oven for 1 hour at 350 nom nom nom
As for 'Roo, we bring lots of different beers, but we love Modelo Especial... if only I could find Tiger Beer in a can!

Wow, I've never even heard of half the brands posted here.
I try to respect Roo laws as much as possible but I may be smuggling in some Sweetwater Blue, it just doesn't feel like summer without it. Especially doesn't feel like Bonnaroo without it. I know they have it in Centeroo but I just can't afford to get lit like that.
I love trying new beer, I really enjoying it, so I've got some homework before Roo =) I'm sure there are a lot that I can't find here in small town Alabama though.
Much appreciation guys, keep 'em coming! Random karma when I can.
Last year, the only glass we smuggled in was our home brew - a Bock that we called "Bockaroo"
But yes - there are tons and tons of good beers coming out in cans. My favorite for a morning pre noon drink on the Farm is an icey cold Strongbow (cider) which comes in a tallboy. We also brought Guiness, Dale's, and also the same makers of Dales make an ale called Ten Fifty... not too shabby. The other beer we brought which was great for mid day was Pilsner Urquell. Super for sippin on the way to Centeroo, then chuggin at the gate
Another that i HIGHLY recommend for everyone - if you're into stouts - is the Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Comes in a tall boy, and is the perfect beer for when the sun goes down, you don your jeans and hoodie for the late night shows.

PLEASE BRING AN EXTRA CASE OF FAT TIRE FOR ME!!! I will gladly pay you cost plus a finder's fee. I would be the happiest girl in the world if I could be at Roo AND enjoying a Fat Tire at the same time. Plus, the karma you would receive from such an awesome act would be astonishing. ;D
