Got to finally try some Fat Tire the other day (and on draft ta boot!) and I was quite impressed. I've only just seen it appear in my local grocery store but it's in bottles so I prolly won't be trying to ninja them into the 'Roo.

Sticking to officially sanctioned brews (canned), everyone has mentioned Oskar Blues, but not Southern Star out of TX. They make a great Pine Belt Pale Ale that comes in 16oz cans. Supposedly have some other good brews too, but we don't have dist'n here (in SC) for the other brews yet. They are coming soon though.
I have a Pork Slap in my hands, and I'm digging it. I misread (eh?) the prices at Table & Vine and thought it was 7 bucks a can instead of 7 a sixer. Whaaaaat a douche. Now that I know, I'm gonna try out all the Butternuts and see how I feel about them. Some Dale's will definitely be in order for Roo, but if I can find some good slightly cheaper beer, I'm more than happy to bring it with.
We're bringing Modelo Especial in the can with plenty of limes...normally I don't like fruit in my beer, but something about this in the hot summer sun is just delicious. Maybe we'll bring some Tito's vodka too....breakfast screwdrivers anyone?

as for beer, i'm bringin' tecate and probably some other lighter beers that we can find in cans...i actually saw corona in cans at my grocery store the other day and i think i'll have to try them out and see if they're any good. i like the lighter beers for 'roo cuz its usually mad hot and they don't get me too drunk if i space it out. we're camping in the smokies on the way down, so there's definitely gonna be some glass bottles consumed before we get to 'roo...im thinking some magic hat or sierra nevada (and i definitely want to try some of that abita strawberry...it sounds delicious!).

Well my canned beer experimentation is finally done with. A few months ago I bought a 4 or 6 pack of every canned craft and import beer that was available from my local super mega beer and wine store. After tasting a dozen+ different brews, I have to confirm what all the others have been saying, Oskar Blues is by far the best choice.

I've had it, and it tasted pretty much like Corona in a bottle, so if you like Corona it should be fine. I can get Modelo cans here for cheaper than Corona cans, and I can't tell much of a difference, so you might try that if you haven't.
I've started my own chapter of the Beards For Bonnaroo club. Unfortunately none of my friends can grow facial hair to that extent so I am left alone.
I always have some form of facial hair but it'll def be a lil shaggy by the time i get to the roo. Who knows, I may shave it all off before then. June is still so far away. For beer, I'm not sure yet, maybe some tecate. It's about the only thing I can find in a can around here that doesn't taste like water, but I doubt I'll drink that much.

I found Fat Tire in cans at my local Kroger yesterday, so I can proudly say this is what will be coming with me to Bonnaroo this year! I am one happy lady! ;D

I don't know how to quote people, but "rooter" 2 posts above me mentions yuengling...do they have it cans?? We just got it here in GA, and I love it! So maybe we just don't have it here, but I've never seen it...
^^Yeah, that's part of what I love about it. I also like to drink lighter beers sometimes, even though I usually prefer pale ales, and it's def. better that bud, miller, etc...I will probably have to check the big liquor stores to find cans around here though...
Yep, around here you can get the Lager and Black & Tan in cans. Last year I bought all craft beer, some pretty heavy and that was a mistake so I'm making sure I have a case of something light this year.
I'll be bringing down a case(all that I'm allowed to bring across the boarder) of Moosehead Lager. My favorite Canadian beer that is actually sold in cans. Plus it's brewed in my hometown of Saint John, New Brunswick.
Over the years, I've gone with different beer choices for Roo:
In 06, we brought (cheap) whiskey and Yuengling... worked pretty well for us.
In 07, it was (cheap) tequila and Coors light... didn't really drink much that year. Mostly, splurged on the Dale's Pale Ale in Centeroo.
Last year, it was a lot of cheap Bud Ice (regrettable), Miller Light (ok, I suppose), Michelob Ultra (surprisingly awesome in the heat), and Yuengling... worked very, very well.
This year, I'm thinking of bringing a 12 of Oskar Blues' Dales Pale Ale, 24 of Pabst Blue Ribbon, and a 12 of Modelo. And, maybe, some individual hip huggers of Captain Morgans or Crown Royal for the late nights.

I just saw that New Belgium Brewery has introduced the Sunshine Wheat in cans.
I'm not a big wheat beer drinker, but it is an option for decent beer. I'll see when it will be available. They announced Fat Tire in cans about this time last year and it was available AFTER Roo.
