As a health care professional, I think this is weird.
On the shirt thing, I know I wear larger shirts to bed 'cause they are comfy! maybe folding them to pass around? Wasn't my idea, Bonz, I don't think I was in chat for that one.
Like I said, I don't know all the details but I presume they are all folded up so that you can't see or possibly you are even blind folded so you can't judge on size, color, style? Honestly, I usually sleep naked, but IF I am wearing something, it's an oversized tshirt (ike Taco)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Naked is the only way to sleep. I find it weird that people wear clothes to bed. If I am forced to wear anything, it is just boxers, but even then, I wake up a few times to adjust them every night.

My mother passed away almost a year ago, I have gained so much weight since then and with knowing the toll that Roo can take on the body I have just begun a "weight Loss" mission... I hope in the months to come before time to hit the farm I can loose some of the 70 lbs I have gained... I am hoping this Thread can give me some inspiration...

Very sorry to hear about your mother. You can definitely lose the weight though. Don't look at it as 70 lbs. Look at it in more reasonable chuncks, like 5-10 lbs a month. That way, you won't give up the goal as impossible, and you get to restart every month if you miss the goal 1 month!

The point of the sweaty shirt study, as I recall, was that women were most attracted to the smells from guys who were genetically different in terms of some immune function (but not drastically different). The theory was that, by doing this, the women were subconsciously choosing mates with whom they'd have the healthiest kids.

Thats different from studies I have read which were related to the production of pheremones from the breakdown of either testosterone or estrogen. The overarching trend they found was that women looking for a casual sexual encounter were more attracted to higher levels of testosterone, while women looking for a longer term relationship were more attracted to lower testosterone levels. The inverse was true for men. Basically, the finding was that women looked for the strongest, healthist male for creating a child, but nurturer for raising the child.

Love that and I AM doing it for health reasons... but also for confidence reasons... energy reasons... and I just want to look better, gosh darn it! <stomping foot>

I'm sorry about your mom but glad you're here. I have a lot to lose too and started by giving myself mini goals. Set your first goal at something like 11 pounds (1 pound per week) by Roo. It's realistic and attainable. Since you have more that 20 pounds to lose you're likely to bust through that goal without a whole lot of effort. Good luck and keep us updated on how you're doing!

My friend has to make a trip all the way to Powell, TN on Thursday, straight there and back. I'm going to ride with him to keep him company and to get away from home for a day. I normally have an "off" day once every two weeks and I just had one on Saturday, but I think that Thursday is going to be another one. Anyone know of some kickass eateries in the area?

Thank you! I'll have to let my friend know about this one. I don't know how far into Knoxville he'll want to go, but if he's willing we'll check it out.

I googled it. It's 8.5 miles from the Powell exit to Tomato Head and most of that is just running up I-75/275.

That's not far at all considering it's about 320 miles down there. I don't care what he says, we're going. Those pizzas and sandwiches look so yummy!

You guys, this morning I showed up to workout, and one of my sneakers was missing. seriously. not in my car or in the parking lot... must have fallen out in my parking deck.
SO - I did work out in socks. That's right. Cam (the trainer) just modified some of the things for me, and I still got rocked. Just some more motivation that you CAN workout anytime - even when you have no shoes.

I love that you worked out in socks! I definitely worked out in my flip flops once. I was surprised that they allowed it! (and the gym at the time was even nicer than my current one). I hope that you find the missing one, though!!!
Went to the gym this am and gave up my shift tonight, so I might go back to the gym this afternoon! AND I will daringly venture out past the cardio machines! But I had a worse happy hour than normal yesterday. I met up with my soon-to-be roommate to chat (she's a random from Craigslist). She is new to my area so she hadn't been to the place before so we ordered 1 of all 4 happy apps- veggie and tofu potstickers, brie fondue with fried wontons, calamari and BBQ spring rolls with Asian slaw. With the exception of buffalo wings here and there, I usually stay away from fried stuff so I feel so icky from it all. It took me forever to get dressed this AM because of it.

I've been doing a few miles on the elliptical this week (and a 4 mile hike on Saturday), stopped drinking wine (again!) and I've lost 3 lbs in a week I would like to lose another few before I go to CA next week......
Pheromones, baby. Rawr! Someone brought up a sweaty tshirt party concept recently. Possibly in chat and not on the board Who was it? CK? JHo? Taco? Sarah? LLL? If they aren't a poster in this thread, please cameo and explain to these good folks!
It was me
@viking that was what I pointed out in chat, I don't think the Rope/pole had anything to do with the exercises. It was an interesting link meant to motivate and entertain certainly not to be taken as gospel.

I have read about this in a book where they studied animals and they found the same choosing of mates by the different immunities and also they could tell which parasites the other had. It also went into this whole section about how parasites are so crafty making their host look more attractive so they can pass on to other animals. I wish I could remember the book, something about ladybugs and sex it seems like .
