Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Thank you both! We are very excited. Although I don't know anyone on the board personally, I am thinking about changing that this year and coming to brunch.

Speaking of no beer, anyone know what the best or lowest calorie liquor you can drink? I was thinking maybe diet coke/rum on the weekends when I'm needing a little relaxing buzz.
Though rum and diet coke is one of my go-to mixers, there's a TON of sugar in it, so if you're planning on cutting out beer AND sugary things from your diet, I'd suggest vodka as an alternative. Otherwise, it'd be counter-productive. Total bummer. As much as it pains me to say this, you may be better off with a (cringe) light beer.
I was bad this weekend and I feel totally guilty. I'm a bridesmaid in my girlfriend's wedding and she had her engagement party on Saturday. It was food galore at the hostess' house. And then yesterday, it was so gorgeous that we fired up the grill and had some beer brats. Though tasty, I went WAYYYYY over on MyFitnessPal. But, its Monday and I'm back to the butt-kicking! Reading this thread totally keeps my motivation levels high.

Congrats on the baby, viking!
I'm going out for some Mexican tonight. The restaurant has their menu online so I checked it out. I decided what I'm going to order ahead of time so I don't quack up and order a thousand calories worth of cheese. I can seriously eat a thousand calories worth of cheese on top of my dinner, no joke. But I'm not doing it tonight.
Great idea, Cracka! That's why the thread is called lose weight and get fit before Roo. What each person needs to do to make sure their experience is the best possible is different than the next!
And Kat.. I TOTALLY understand the cheese thing. Hmmmm cheeeeesseeeee

This Saturday was a booze fueled shenanipants party. As some of you know. But, still did great on carbs and eating for the most part - only slip up was the majestic pancakes from Aretha Frankensteins in Chattanooga post-Jack White.
Of course, at workout this morning we did a blitz. Basically imagine doing high (mega high) intensity for one hour nonstop. Longest "break" is 15 seconds. Oy Vey. But I killed it. Here's a taste if anyone wants to try!
chair sit on the wall - 30 sec mountain climbers - 15 sec chair sit on the wall - 30 sec plank position with alternating arm raises - 15 sec. repeat set x5 with only 15 sec rest in between sets.
mountain climbers 10 sec 2 pushups repeat x5 no rest in between rest 30 sec do another set of 5
that's all i can remember. afterwards, my trainer was like "you guys didnt even break a sweat!".... yeah right. there were only 2 of us, so you know it was brutal. Circuit training rules, y'all.

I got creamed this morning too. I dont know the name for everything, but it was one leg hopping and touching the floor with your hands while on one leg (3 sets), lunge and twist while with back leg on bosu ball (3 sets), bosu ball situps (3 sets), like a mountain climber with one foot on bosu ball (3 sets), exagerated lunge position with 12 lb arm weight extensions, strange hamstring pull thing, lol...I dont think these make any sense.
Either way, 30 minutes of me sweating and trying not to pass out.
Cross Training is the tits. Glad to see people going all out doing these routines. I got an hour and a half of Yoga tonight. But i think i might go for a run afterwards or somehting, considering it is suppose to be freaking 70 something degrees today.
Thanks chicken!! I think 1.5 hours of yoga is FANTASTIC. if you can manage a run after that, then SUPER good for you!!
Chico, that sounds like something we'd do too, well done sir. Yipes. Allegedly, tomorrow is "arms".... That means I'll be doing 5 million pushups and things that have me using my shoulders (mountain climbers, burpees, bear crawls... OH MY!) I'm dying just thinking about it.

Mayo sounds like they're going to kick your butt! Do you still get ridiculously sore afterwards or are you the master of it now?

Wow mayo, I'm impressed! I wish I could work out at that level now, but there is no way. I'd throw up then pass out about halfway through.

So I'm doing lower carb for 2 weeks and then adding organic fruits back in, as well as a larger spectrum of true vegetables and some honey--no grains/glutens/sugar etc.
Today I had a Raw Protein/Raw Fiber shake with Cacao Nibs and Bee pollen added to it, a chicken breast with veggies, a Quest protein/fiber bar (the best natural protein bar IMO, plus it has 17g of fiber per bar), Grass fed beef steak and a salad. 2 L of water (so far), with K20 Protein mixed in one batch and Green Tea.
I also had a myriad of supplements-- Vitamin Code Multi for Women, Vitamin C, Calcium with D, Alpha Lipoic Acid with Acetly L Carnitine, B-12 liquid, Glucosamine, CoQ10, Policosanol, Garlic, Cinnamon with Chromium, 7-Keto, Saffron, L-Carnosine, and Fish Oil. This sounds like a lot but I've always taken this stuff, I'm a fan of Orthomolecular medicine to a point. I rarely get sick, and even though I'm getting fatter, I look and move pretty young for a 36 year old nurse.
Going for a walk shortly, followed by an upper body weight session.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Are we going to do an inforoo my fitness pal group? Or if anyone wants to partner, pm me. I dont know about all of you but I do better with a group
I'm still down with doing a MFP group. I can set one up, it's super easy to do. Even if it's just 3 or 4 of us, it's still a circle with a common goal for support and motivation. I'll make one as soon as I can think of a decent name for it, my brain's wiped out tonight.

That's why doing a group would help. This thread has made it harder for me to duck out on the excercise, and I think groups help. Other people don't need/want that.
