I had ordered 2 pairs of jeans and when I tried them on, they fell right off of me. I immediately weighed and I’m down half my pandemic weight. 25 more pounds and I’ll start feeling comfortable in my skin again.
I’ll take the anxiety of having to return stuff after learning that.
It finally happened! I'm over the plateau! I'm officially in the 120s. I'm going to fucking cry.
Last night I just accepted that I might not lose those last few pounds I was wanting to lose. I figured it's been months, my body feels good, best it's looked in years and I'm happy. I'll just continue to work out and maintain. I'm want to cry I'm so happy. I'm 1.7lbs from my goal weight.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Hit the wall I figured might happen cause of birthdays and the holidays. At least I took 25lbs off before this. And thats all the weight I gained from the start of covid. Now onto the next 10 - 15 which I know will be tough.
I mean, getting healthy is important, but it’s got to be sustainable.
100% agree. I don't cut food out when I "diet." I eat less, move more. I really don't like to talk about it but I am down 30lbs and have been maintaining for awhile.

For sure! I actually have lost 55 pounds so far, that part was true. And while I definitely have not eaten biscuits and gravy every day, nothing has been off limits at all. I’ve been keeping track of my calories (because history has taught me that I’m an absolutely terrible judge of how much I’m eating if I don’t monitor it somewhat, so I’ll probably do this forever), but if I want something, I eat it. And if I go over one day, or eat like a maniac for the entire thanksgiving weekend, I don’t stress about it, just move on to the next day and keep going forward.
And fully on board with the moving more also. I’m currently doing a day when I run, a day when I row, and a day when I do a couple of the apple fitness videos (a strength one and a dance one), then a day off. I like this routine for now.
Also drinking so much water. I think I must have been constantly dehydrated before, and I’m pretty sure that adding more water alone really improved how I feel.

It happens. But you toughed it out for those 25lbs and that is a lot of work. Way to go!!

i eat Way too many carbs since i started eating vegetarian but i am gonna try to start packing salads for lunch every morning. was down to 140 and back up to 160 as of late so I wanna nip this in the bud and get back down before i gain anymore. also I binge quite often when i smoke ouid so i wanna cut that down too/do it before i eat dinner rather than after. Ultimately i wanna cut down on stomach fat and if anyone has any tips i am open to them!

You can't pinpoint where you will lose fat, unfortunately. For testosterone-leaning folks the first place to gain fat and the last place to lose it is often the lower tummy. Even when you get down to a low enough body fat percentage to get rid of the lower tummy fat, it still takes conscious effort to maintain. I'm good on that; for me they're just my fluffier abs.
Also if you live in a medical/legal state with testing requirements I can help pinpoint specific cannabinoids that influence appetite, but otherwise to speak VERY broadly your indica-leaning strains are more likely to induce the munchies.

YES!!! I use the fitbit and track all my food intake and probably will for forever also. But I also don't stress if I have a day when I can't stop eating. It happens, I own it and I try to move more that day or just remember tomorrow is a new day. Plus, I know I am moving enough which helps me not stress over food. Hydration is a must. I <3 water
I am addicted to my yoga (and skating of course). I have been hitting the mat daily, except on days I skate for over an hour (which is about 3 times a week and closer to 2 hrs). Otherwise, I make sure to yoga. Once I finish this 30 day yoga journey I am currently on, I just bit the bullet and finally bought the 8-week handstand program. I am excited and nervous all at one. I really want to be able to do handstands with crazy animal leg poses.
IMO the most important thing that has come out of this is I don't feel like shit constantly anymore.

Absolutely cannot stress this enough. Like, I knew I was basically a sloth and often didn’t feel great before, but now that I see how much better I can feel, it’s so much motivation to keep it up.

I was surprised how painless it was to stay within my calorie goals once I started paying attention. It’s so easy to make little things add up throughout the day (in either direction).

I am trying a new challenge this year that I will fail about 10% of the way through like every other challenge I've done in the last 2-3 years. But I think this is kinda funny.
I want to run more miles than the amount of drinks I drink in 2022.
I drink an absolute fuckload which is really the most difficult part of this challenge. If I were to keep drinking the amount I usually do... maybe 25-35 drinks a week (was around 40 when single), then there would be no way for me to keep pace with the running. In a normal week, I will need to average about 10 miles / 10 drinks. There will be many outlier weeks in either direction, but I want to see if this is possible. I was 6'1, 220 on monday. In my prime, I was around 185. But even then I always felt like I could bulk up a little if I wanted to look my absolute best. I'd like to be 190 - 195 this time next year. 9 miles and 0 drinks so far. Weekend incoming here goes nothing!
