My jeans were looser this morning!!! This makes me happy...Haven't been on the scales in a few weeks, tring to just feel it in my clothes! Still chubby but I AM SOOO VERY HAPPY
YOU GUYS - today marks the day that I've lost (drumroll please) - TWENTY LBS. ;D
My self-weighin this morning started off rough. I didnt have my glasses on, and my left foot only half stepped on the scale, and then i did a falling dance where I tried to grab the flat wall in front of me, only to almost tumble into the tub as the scale flipped up and hit my right foot that was in mid air.... it was awesome. After I collected myself, put on my glasses, and rubbed the hell out of my scraped up left foot ... I stepped up and BOOM. 20 down.
Then I purposely did a dance.
How is everyone going into their weekends? optomistic? throwing caution to the wind for 3 days? Do what you want, it's holiday? less than 2 weeks to Roo!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Nicely done, but you will do this dance on webcam next time right??
I'm going into my weekend taped up. I saw the Physical Therapist today. She thinks I have a strained muscle and a few little things that we could tweak on my structure. The good news is that I can run tomorrow! The bad news is I have to let go of my hope for a PR.
So my plans are be super healthy until mid-Saturday and do some stretching and some light work outs on Sunday/Monday. Maybe throw some parties in there too.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

^^^ BLAMMO!!
Finished my race today. 18 seconds off my goal time of 90 minutes. I think I would have pushed the last half mile harder if I'd realized how close I was. I turned the corner saw the finish line and was like OH CRAP!!! Still, I'm happy.
Congrats chico! 18 seconds is nothing when compared to 90 minutes AND you did it with an injury. I think that's something to be proud of!
Mayo, Bonzai and Holls... Way to kick ass ladies! You gals are killing it and are going to look fabulous when you get to Roo!
I am down 30.4 pounds as of Wednesday, 49.6 pounds to go with the halfway point right around the corner! I've been falling off the wagon a bit more than normal lately, but I'm still losing. I guess I'm staying active enough to make up the extra calories I've consumed as of late.
I've still not stepped up the workouts, but I've been so busy it's insane. Tomorrow I'm cleaning, doing yard and garden work, getting all of my camping/Roo supplies in order, doing a dry run of camp and carrying 200 pounds of salt to the pool. Sounds a bit like a workout now that I think of it.
^ KK! 30.4# IS AWESOME!!! Wow, that's a huge loss & you're doing great! So proud of you!
Good luck w/carrying all that salt...geez, that should burn a few thousand calories! Can't wait to see you in 10 days & give you a huge high-five and a big ol' hug! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, my dear!

So as of today, only 7 days with my trainer left before Roo. And this weekend is a big weddin', so i think i'll work in a run. Looking like I could be down 8 lbs from last months weigh in. I'll take that for Roo. Look out Bonnaroo! My cute tush and my Rootu are headed your way!!!

Thank you, NoAge! (And everyone else!) We are all rockinnn it!
Food and alcohol wise, this weekend was one of the worst ones that I have had (2 concerts with tailgating and 2 picnics), but I did complete my first 5K!! Ran the entire time even though I have never run that distance before! It's nothing compared to Chico, but 3.1 (someone said it is more like 3.2) miles in 28-29 minutes (there was no official time- it was a "fun" race) makes me proud!!

Bonz that's a great time for someone who wasnt even "training" for a 5K And to have run it the entire time is stupendous!!! good for you madam!!!

The amount of awesomeness that is going on here is blowing me out of the water!!!!!!!!!! So many of you are down and keeping it going! What great work! Super proud of you all!
And bonzai, 5k under 30 min aint nothing to shrug off. That's some good running! Well done!
As promised here's a pic from after the Soldier Field run. It was a great race. Well organized and some sweet swag. I recommend this to everyone for next year.

Nice work Chico considering it was Africa hot here in Chicago this weekend!
Oh man, it was so cold Saturday morning. We were standing at the line waiting for our corral to get released shivering like mad and watching a storm brew. Luckily it passed just overhead.
Mayo, the knee held up fine. I was a little sore from miles 3 to 6, but feeling good after that. I'm going to talk more about it during PT this week, bc it doesnt seem running related after all. At the gym this weekend, it's really only giving me pain when I do lunges and squats. I can run all I want. Yay!

I've been lurking on this thread for weeks, and ya'll are very inspirational. It's hard for me to talk/read about fitness/weight loss b/c I have some pretty bad body issues, but this thread was a revelation. I started working out months ago, and while I haven't had a significant weight loss (congrats to the -20lb clubbers!), I have managed to keep up with it, and do it at least 5-6 days a week. I feel healthier, my endurance is definitely better, along with my self-image and overall attitude. Very much looking forward to next week. Have fun everyone!

Wednesdaygrrl! Glad to see you here!!!! It's good to know that even stalking has helped you start working towards your goals! Let me also say, I didnt really lose any weight until I'd been working out solid for 6 months. Now it's coming off pretty steady. So keep at it! One day your body will just "click" into it. So happy you are feeling better and healthier!!! Keep it up!!

We're all proud of you, wednesdaygrrl! It sounds like you're on track to make great progress! You're doing a FANTASTIC JOB of keeping yourself motivated! Working out 5-6 days/wk? Impressive!
Feel free to share your triumphs in here with the rest of us. That's what this thread is for: to encourage you, to help keep you motivated, and to celebrate with you each step of the way. We're a free support network! Hey, whattya say we celebrate next week on a big ol' Farm? You down with that plan? ;D

Sounds like you're doing a great job!! Much like Mayo, I stayed about the same for 6 months until I had the endurance to and energy to work out harder and more consistently.
Keep going and come in here for some encouragement when you need it.
So - this week was rough. Had a couple late nights that prevented me from getting to the gym at 6am (what?! I need my SLEEP), but I made it 2 days, and ran on the other days. Last night I bust a little 2.5 mile, 25 minute run. So right at 10-min miles. Not too shabby. And it felt GREAT. I love that as time passes, Im starting to "like" running again.
All in all, May was a little lax. But I wanted to tell everyone, I was talking to my trainer about it, and he said that the month of May has one of the lowest gym attendance rates for the year. Consistently, in May, people will slow down in their work out schedules. And this is not just for his class, but across the board for all people in general. But then he said, attendance will pop back up to normal or a little higher than normal in June. So if you feel like you didnt get much done this month, you aren't alone! And that's no reason to stop exercising. Get back into it! Keep it up!
Only 5 more workout days until Roo. And Im ready to rock my RooTu.

I only gained 1/2 a pound!! I seriously cannot believe it considering the amount of junk I ate. Hubby gained 3 which isn't bad considering he lost 20 leading up to Roo.

DAMN, y'all are amazing! I can't believe how good everybody is doing. I hope this thread keeps going in the off-season... other people's success is super inspiring!
I just started training hard and eating clean again after about 4 months in low gear due to the WORST job on earth. I'm about a month in now, lifting 3-4 days a week and yoga 1-2 days. Due to injuries, if I don't train, I hurt...so that's good incentive! But I also can't train as often or hard as I'd like to for the same reason.
My big accomplishment thus far has been full 30-second straight arm planks and 15-second full side planks. I wasn't able to do even 5 seconds on my elbow six weeks ago so its makin me happy. I'm also back to 30 diamond kneeling pushups at a go... next step is 30 non-kneeling diamonds, I can do about 5 now, but I keep trying!!

I was going to wear a pedometer all weekend to see how much I walked at Roo. Unfortunately I forgot the keys to my apartment the day I left so couldn't get it. Didn't gain or lose during Roo but did walk a lot and danced more than ever.
I totally ate whatever I wanted for the first time in forever which was great. Steak burrito with mint schnapps during Beach Boys was a delicious combination. Had my once a year McDonald's as I drove out of the fest. Paid for it when I woke up from my sleep at a rest stop and puked it all up in the grass. Laid there for about ten minutes before realizing the entire lawn smelled like piss. I was loving it.
I'm visiting my parents for a day and my mom told me I look like I need to gain ten pounds. Feeling aiiiiiggght about that. Will be jogging in hilly Portland for the next two weeks. It's going to be a great, fit as fuck summer.
I also ate my way through Bonnaroo this year! It was glorious. Specifically the Amish donuts. holy wow. I only had 1.5 of them. So I was pretty proud of that. But I had my favorite SPICY PIE with the jalapenos and pineapple, samosas, so much beer, camp food to include so much bacon, food truck food (Petros FTW y'all!), corn dogs, and Praters wings.... SO. MUCH. FOOD. and I only gained 3 lbs. which is negligible since 3 lbs is the normal daily fluctuation for me.... So Im back to bootcamp tomorrow.
Oh Bonnaroo. How I love your food. holy wow the food. ;D
