Beasties were a good fit in the first place, another huge NYC hip-hop headliner. It's really too bad that they had to cancel, hopefully MCA gets well soon.
Jay-Z + the late addition of Prince to last year's Coachella lineup = Rivaling Bruce and Phish
I don't understand what you're saying. How does one festival replacing a headliner with Jay-Z and the late addition of Prince rival Bruce and Phish? Bruce & Phish were at the same festival. APW and Coachella are separate.
Can you clarify what you mean? Yea they are all great headliners....but in what way are they "rivals"?
The more people who attend that abuse fest, the more likely other events are to follow their example. Burn your ticket in the name of decency.
I went to APW all three days last year and had a nuts ton of fun. I can't wait to go back this year. I don't know what your talking about but you were obviously expecting far too much. All I ever see when people complain APW is the freakin beer gardens. Do you go to festivals to get drunk or to see music?
Well let's start with the fact that you're 17 and can't buy yourself a beer anyway. Sort of makes it a moot point doesn't it? Perhaps when you reach adulthood you will find such treatment as belittling as I do. After all I'm a tax payer and contributing member of society. When I spend my hard earned money (not my parents') to attend a day long event in my free time I should be free to spend that time how I like within reason. Drinking a beer on a hot summer day while watching and being able to hear the live music that I paid to see is certainly within reason. Being that I work full time and have all of the other responsibilities of adulthood which take up exorbitant amounts of time, my free time is extremely limited and I want to get the most out of it that I can. I go to any performance to have a good time. On a warm summer day when i took public transportation I will likely have a few beers. Now if I'm going to be there ALL DAY and I paid $100 or more to be there, I should be - no I AM entitled to have a beer AND watch the show. As an adult I am entitled to this. Regardless of the beer gardens I still need to go to the bathroom. Less than 20 portas for 40K people is sick and disgraceful.
I'm glad that you had a great time. If I were also a child with different expectations of the world I would have had a better time also. Unfortunately I'm an old fogey who wants to drink my beers and watch my music at the same time, because I just don't have enough free time to do them separately.
TOOL TOOL TOOL TOOL! Also I would have to see Gogol,Black Keys and MGMT. Fleet Foxes would be a must-see for me! I took a hiatus from listening to them after I played them nonstop for 3 or 4 months....popped them in on the way to Hattiesburg the other day and remembered why they didn't leave my CD player for 3 months
If no conflicts I'd also really wanna see Ra Ra Riot, Heartless Bastards, Cage the Elephant and Crystal Castles.

I understand where you're coming from, but it is possible that he's not going to festivals with his parents money. I went to Bonnaroo at 18 last year with money that I earned working, and I continue to fund trips and tickets for all the concerts in my sig with money I earned working.

I am also disappointed in MBV slot, that's the whole reason I am going. I'm also kind of worried about how Tool fans will react during their show. Hopefully they won't be complete douches and give respect to MBV.
Maybe you will actually be surprised to find out that there can be a crossover and not everyone fits in to pretty little boxes according to what type of music they listen to

I know, but I've heard bad things about Tool before Massive Attack at Coachella. Also MBV isn't the most accessible band, and there might be some pissed off people during the 15 min sonic onslaught that is You Made Me Realize. Apparently Cure fans weren't too happy at the show at Coachella.
^^^^^Some people just don't get MBV. Same deal with BJM and JAMC. Just promise me u go for the rail. We're about the same age, ur ears should be able to take it.

I was thinking about going for the rail to take some good pictures and then get the hell out of there for Tool. But I have a feeling Tool fans could be waiting all day to worship Maynard up close during their set.
