Oh yeah, I know all about that stuff, man. Props for being well informed of some classic industrial rock
mine has officially been changed to Jeff Coffin's double flute solo during Dreaming Tree at dmb a couple of weeks ago. he was harmonizing the two flutes together and doing all this other crazy stuff. amazing.

A few of the 100's of hundred of shows I have been to that are worthy of praise...

7-3-04, Mark O'Connor, Chris Thile, Bryan Sutton, and Byron House
They put on a special concert in Nashville to record a live albumn to represent Mark O'Connor's career. They played for four hours that night for a crowd of about 25 people.

I've seen videos of their shows... jesus, some of it is unbelievable. If Roo still had a good focus on performance art other than music and stand up, I'd love to see it on the farm... like how they used to have burlesque and magic/fire shows.
Now that we've taken this to non-music, I'd be amiss to not mention Zach Galifianakis' set at midnight Thursday, Roo 08. Also, when I saw George Carlin in Vegas in '05, it was basically a practice set for the taping of his "Life Is Worth Losing" HBO special. It was great then, and now more nostalgic, in memory of one of my favorite comedians ever.

if you look i'm sure you'd see that nothing's really as it seems and soon enough you'd realize you promise more than you'll provide the substance that we're hoping for will always leave us needing more we're calloused til we cannot feel the only moments that were real
I've got several but one that really stands out is The Arcade Fire at Coachella in 2007. Such an amazing band and it was my first festival. Drove all the way from Arkansas to Indio. Secured my tickets when it was announced Rage was headlining. Probably one of the best decisions I ever made.
Ben Harper and John Paul Jones play 'Dazed and Confused' under the largest cloud of green smoke I've ever seen. [to beat out Cypress Hill and any of the Marleys] ;D

YES! Nokia Theater in NYC, right? I was there too - what an amazing show! A friend of mine invited me along so I went, but I didn't know anything about them beforehand - I just went because I knew she had good taste in music. Mind = blown.

Was this Harper's set or Superjam? I saw both sets and I think it was played @ both sets. Now, at that ver Superjam, one of the worst things I've seen/heard was Harper's terrible attempt at singing Immigrant Song... the yells at the beginning... oh my god, awful.
Yeah, I'm not a huge Harper fan, but the Superjam was pretty solid, except for his singing... he's a good enough of a guitarist and a competent singer for the most part, but he did not do a good job on Plant duties, his guitar work was fine.
Heaviest thing I've ever seen was "Pedafly" by Skinny Puppy. I felt as if my life was in danger at The Loft, that night. Craziest concert I've ever attended.

It was indeed at the Nokia! 'Twas my second time in NYC doin' a trip my old buddies from DC had planned before I moved down to NC. I loved gettin' to hear them preview the material that would become Fear Of A Blank Planet and Nil Recurring!
