this lineup is ok for my tastes the only act that I would really want added to bonnaroo is Shpongle, I have to say though major Props to Guerilla Dub Panda Allstars back in 2005 at bonnaroo they were camped 15 feet from my tent and they brought all their equipment and a power generator and stage and played at various times throughout the weekend and I loved their reggae sound very sublime but also very dub and jam, now they are making the festival circuit and they deserve it.
roo needs to take a CUE from rothbury and get with the times with the ELECTRONICA/DJS.
yea, this is the one area that rothbury did kill roo in. the electronic acts are so much better then what we have at roo this year. hopefully we get some good ones in additions.

My guess/wishful thinking is that roo will add The Dead and bill them 3rd so as to make a statement of dominance over roth's lineup.
For now, though, this is VERY appealing... so much so that I am considering going even though I will be moving to Italy the next week. The Dead, SCI, Marley & NAS, Yonder, STS9, Mule, Broken Social Scene (!), Bisco, Claypool, Matisyahu, MSTRKRFT, Zappa, Shpongle, Lotus.... I don't know many from the bottom third of the lineup, and Dylan is un-watchable these days, but The Dead and the whole middle 1/3 of the lineup are amazing.
i just don't see roo adding another name as big as the dead
I don't necessarily, either, but as I said it's wishful thinking...
Although I very much want to see both Beasties and NIN live, I just don't think that they (or Phish's late-night) will be a 3rd headliner... I am hoping for just one big addition that's *not* Jay-Z, whoever that may be.

Is it just me or is this the summer of well put together lineups? Waka, Roo, Roth, Scamp.... After all these different fatastic lineups I don't think anything is out of the realm of possibility this summer; I mean phish and the dead are both playing at festivals this summer!

My guess is Rothbury put it in the contracts to have the exclusive festival performance by the Dead and that they don't play any other summer festivals, I'm sure Roth is paying top dollar to score them. However after I keep looking over this lineup I feel it is much weaker then last years. Bob Dylan is a legend but he is not a great stage performer at all. I have seen him 4 times and I regretfully say 4 times each time was a painful experience. My thoughts were each time "does he know he's onstage performing in front of thousands of people or is this the effects of too much corn for 50 years." I feel like he didn't care about his stage performance. I will admit that his backing band is great. The only plus side too seeing both Dylan and The Dead on the lineup is that I will bet my money that Dylan does a sit in for a few songs with the Dead.

I like Rothburys lineup, but it honestly looks as if they checked out every other fests lineup, then contacted all the artists they could and asked them to show up at their fest also. Its like a blend of all the fests.

This does have some unique stuff like SCI and Quannum. Have the Dead been confirmed for any US festivals yet (I agree theyll probably do Outside Lands, too)?

damn... thats a pretty straight lineup... i would like to see Les Claypool added to Roo though... i missed him last year and was kinda upset about it... and the Black Crowes played Riverbend last year, i didnt get to see them, but their set apparently kinda sucked...
Ehh...the lineup doesn't do much for me except for The Hold Steady and Man Man. I wish THS would've come back to Roo this year and I still don't understand how Man Man haven't played Roo yet.

I like the undercard, but could care less for the headliners. I was hoping they would have some major headliners that are appealling to me i.e. not all jam bands. I respect the dead, but its not my thing and would rather see phish. And as stated above, Bob Dylan sucks live his ACL performance was my biggest concert disappointment the last two years.
I wanna go to expereince this fest, but this doesnt make me wanna jump up and buy a ticket right off the bat..

and come on... Davey Knowles and Back Door Slam?? Damnit that's actually the biggest undercard act there that I'm actually pissed isn't on the Roo lineup!
