With the exception of The Dead and SCI Rothbury's lineup really doesn't do much for me. I'd like to see the Biscuits,Claypool, maybe one or two more added to Roo but I dunno....I expected them to come harder than that after last years lineup. As far as electronic/late night possibilties IMO Wakarusa is stronger than both Roo(with the exception of late night Phish) and Roth. Looks like I'll be doing Roo and Waka this year..........hopefully I'll be able to catch a Dead show before the summer is out.
*Edit* Don't get me wrong I love acts like EOTO,Perpetual Groove, STS9,and the likes......but I'ma catch all those and more at Waka for less money and a shorter drive.

after this tho Roo really needs to beef up their electronica, I like the Roth line up a lot but its full of bands I see all time if it wasnt for Phish tho I would prob be at Roth.

WOW. W-O-W... Rothbury has given me the greatest lineup I have ever seen. I can't be negative about bonnaroo but Rothbury has won me over and then some. This lineup is what I dream about in a festival. Thank you thank you thank you Rothbury!!! I really can't imagine how they read my mind but they did and I would pay double the ticket price or more just to see half this lineup. I've been to the last two roo's but this year I will be attending Rothbury instead. Bonnaroo has been good to me but this Rothbury lineup is a once in a lifetime gift I cannot decline. I am more than happy to talk to people who think roo's lineup is better. That will insure my ticket being there and it will let me know others are not into the same as I am. For me personally, Rothbury has won the title of greastest festival in the United States. Thank you.
I like the undercard, but could care less for the headliners. I was hoping they would have some major headliners that are appealling to me i.e. not all jam bands. I respect the dead, but its not my thing and would rather see phish. And as stated above, Bob Dylan sucks live his ACL performance was my biggest concert disappointment the last two years.
I wanna go to expereince this fest, but this doesnt make me wanna jump up and buy a ticket right off the bat..
rothbury made it clear from the start they are a jamband fest. now, do i expect it to go the way of roo in future years? sure. but if you're not a jamband person, this probably isn't going to be your fest.

The bands on the lineup ALWAYS tour. and are usually on festival lineups/have their own festival. The only thing i feel like ;D about is SCI

true but your always going to have unfortunate conflicts..which is why i love smaller fests...like allgood. no overlaps
this is all so subjective...its all about what you WANT from your festival experience. i urge people to try more than the big major ones, to see what else is out there...cuz there is so muhc awesomeness

I agree, everyone goes to the big commercialized ones, the small ones need love too. I think you are the cutest thing, Becca.

Yea...I really wanted to check out Rothbury this year simply because of the atmosphere but the lineup is just way too jam-heavy for my tastes. I'm gonna try out the much cheaper and closer Wakarusa instead.
I really think Bonnaroo is king of the mega-fests this year though, no contest. Coachella and Roth have both fallen short for me. Lolla doesn't seem too promising either.
I was hoping from the beginning that we would see the Dead @ The 'Roo, but overall the 'Roo lineup is stronger. Then again, the Roth lineup looks a lot like an amalgam of many 'Roo lineups. I'll see the Dead locally.
